Kafalans

Inikóic: Átambha /auːthaːmphaː/
The kafalans1 are one of the four tribes of Tederans that make up the Fúmrá Alliance in south-central Karatvánamb Forest in southeastern Túlmikkía, the others being Fúmi, Ífúrans and Jarúmbans.
Their traditional territory is located to the northeast, centered on the town of Údá by the lower Útimte River and bordered by that of the Inikóans downriver to the north. The latter are ancient rivals to the kafalans and conflicts often flared between the two while the tribes were independent, with the last major defeat at the hands of the inikóans being the main reason the kafalans joined the Fúmrá Alliance. With the inikóans now members of the Ptivamanaktem Alliance, conflicts between the two tribes have since stopped for the most part, though old grudges still remain.

Common Dress code

Kafalans are known for their fine clothing and blankets, known as íkik /iːkhɪkh/, which they dye using a special kind of clay found in abundance near Udá. The blankets in particular are highly sought after by other tederans, as they are believed to have apotropaic properties.
