Hík Mountains
The Hík Mountains1 are one of two mountain ranges in Karatvánamb Forest in eastern Túlmikkía, the other being the Iritífe Mountains to the south.
Like the latter region, the Hík Mountains are home to a mixture of Tederans and Vevúni, the main groups in the woodlands. As they are traditional enemies and the region is an important source of iron and other minerals, endemic warfare is common in the mountains.

Geography
The Hík Mountains are taller than the Iritífe Mountains, so much so that snow covers the highest peaks throughout the year despite being located in the tropics, and while the climate there is not as cool and humid as in the other mountain range, the temperature fluctuates greatly depending on the time of day.
Fauna & Flora
The mountains are a haven for various species of bats, amphibians and invertebrates that inhabit the numerous caves there, along with mountain lions and other wild cats, Túlmikkían Bears, okapi, pangolins and a number of different species of monkeys at different elevations on the surface. Giant lobelias are a common sight as well.
