Norer
Inikóic: Norer /nɔːɾɛːɾ/
Norer is the main settlement of the Inikóans, one of the seven tribes of Tederans that make up the Ptivamanaktem Alliance in central Karatvánamb Forest of southeastern Túlmikkía. It's the southernmost city of the alliance, located on the northern bank of the lower Útimte River.
The area around Norer is major producer of túlmikkían rice in Ptivamanaktem, as the mild climate and fertile soil by the river ensure a bumper crop most of the time, though the inhabitants are careful not to boast about this, as doing so is believed to anger the rice- and river spirits for taking it for granted. It is said that the reason the inikóans don't keep domesticated eland antelopes like other members of the alliance is the result of them breaking this taboo in the past, which cause all the antelopes to sicken and die overnight. Wild game has been their main source of meat ever since.
However, recently the people of Norer seem to have avoided this curse by employing Abáhans from the western part of Ptivamanaktem as antelope herders in the area, in exchange for rice and fish.

Infrastructure
Norer stretches along the riverbank, surrounded by an ancient palisade from back when the inikóans were an independent tribe and often fought with their traditional enemies, the Kafalans, upriver to the southwest. At the heart of the city is a large ceremonial plaza which also acts a a market square between festivals, surrounded by longhouses that form rows along the bank, all facing the river.
