Laughing Night Punch (Laughing Night Punch)

As our night of celebration in the streets of Kkrinth brought us into the smokey and salacious Hedonite club, we decided to whet our whistles without a care for our wallets. My partner, a Chea simply called "O" let his experienced tongue and more experienced liver make the decision for us. O pinged the tender for two 'LNPs.'

I should have known when I got what I thought was the bill before the drink, but was actually a waiver of... "Treatment?" I read aloud in disbelief.

"You've never had a Laughing Night Punch?!" X teased my limited alcoholic experience with a nudge shoulder to shoulder. "Trust me, it's gonna make this night unforgettable." Their suggestive grin urged my signature onto the tab.

Two minutes passed, and I was left to wonder what exactly I'd be sipping on. O bounced his legs on his seat, it had been a long time since the Chea had gotten so worked up.

The drinks came on a well kept plank. The purple body of the drink had a thicker black sand lingering at the bottom, and what looked to be some kind of caviar floating on the top.

O grabbed at his like a Verin possessed, stirring his drink up with the swirled straw.

"What exactly am I getting into here?" I asked, bringing the glass to my nose and having a sniff. The burn of alcohol hit me first, followed by a strange spice that made me think of paprika and nutmeg. I eyed the congealed slime pooling the 'eggs' together with a hint of distaste.

"We got the LNP, Ground Laughing Night claw and Flect roe suspended in Sheljt Krek liqour and mixed with," He pondered of the leaves garnished over the top of the glass, "looks like they added mint? Interesting mix of Human and Sazashi mixology that."

"Claw and Roe? Why?"

"Cause that specific combination causes you to take a round trip to the stars, my adorable little companion!"

"Oh well shit, why didn't you just say so!" A round trip to the stars sounded like a perfect way to really enjoy the night. With a toast to our good fortune and good companionship, we took down a proper swig of the glass. The smooth Krek wine reminded me of a sweeter Taro, milky and sweet. The liquid brought with it the crunch of the roe and the silt of the ground claw. Overall, not a bad taste.

Fruit, Claws, and Eggs

The Laughing Night Punch is the colloquial name for a family of psychedelic alcoholic cocktails. The primary ingredients are Krek fruit alcohol, ground Laughing Night, and seared T'trik Crustarthroflect Roe. The three ingredients combined creates a powerful mind-altering beverage that has its roots in the Sazashi Revolution and the pursuit of Monolithic status.

The psychedelic aspects of the drink are the claw and the roe, both of which have a long Entheogenic history with early Sazashi, especially the Shejlt-Rajh, who had both ingredients native beneath the Valuser'rh Region. Many early rites of the Shejlt include the drinking of the Cocktail before persuing religious enlightnment.

The use of Nights Claw and T'trik Roe in drinks is heavily regulated in civilized space. Due to the risk of having a bad trip in public, establishments serving LNP must adhere to strict guidelines and have a Therapist and Auric Janitor on call.

Partaking in LNC requires a signed waiver to allow the establishment to 'assist' you through your beverage as needed.
