Isthmus of the Huntsman

This is the southernmost point of Eluziar and links the continent to what Accians call the Continent Beyond. In the last few centuries, no Accian has set foot past this point. Terrible storms rage along the western seas while fog swallows eastern, pirate-ridden waters. The isthmus itself is fervently protected by a powerful warrior known as Supay the Huntsman alongside a band of warriors, the Chakuqpa Runankuna, who follow him. Some believe him to be a descendant of Banalkar himself but few soldiers have survived an encounter with him to report back. Because of this resistance, the region has become the forefront battleground in the Kingdom of Accia's ongoing conquest.

Perhaps the most peculiar and noteworthy attribute of the Isthmus is that the grand trees of this rainforest are actually fully sentient and mobile! The forest will rearrange itself as the seasons change or as they seek out resources, confusing Accian invaders. But to the people of the Isthmus, this is just another tool at the disposal of those those with tree magic! Before the war, there were local Abantu which acted as shepherds to these unique trees while others offered sacrificial animals to their woody benefactors!

The region itself is breathtaking and diverse, a land flourishing with life and the magic of Fliral, Vekaltor and Banalkar. With their Kaithur, the people of the Isthmus have taken to living in the canopy of their rainforest, going so far as to build cities above the tree line. With the use of Torrym magic, they have no need to damage the trees, manipulating their growth and constructing shelters of living wood! Alongside other abilities, which grant flight, climbing and camoflauge, their usually peaceful lifestyle has actually aided them in resisting the kingdom. They are particularly suited to guerilla warfare amid the thick foliage of their home, guided and trained by the chakuqpa runankuna to defend themselves with their unique skills. Together, they are determined to keep the kingdom's influence from spreading further south.
