The Kingdom of Eá-galwen
rom the oldest songs of the The Avanís Pantheon after they shaped this world from the Titan's corpse, the Gods brought about the first of their creations; the first Men, known as the Dagnir Sen. These beings formed the great kingdom of Eá-galwen - the remnants of this great nation and its hold over the lands is still evident across much of Daënfel today.
Ruled from the ancestral seat of Carrag Nuine, Eá-galwen stretched across much of The Dawning Empire; from Wallsend bordering the lands of Old Trinity, to the Emperor's Arch in the south, to Fort Belegor in the east and along the Dancing River above Sage's Rest to the north.
This ancient civilization was governed as a monarchy, with the position of King being held by House Wayland during the time of its fall, as Avlar's conquest broke the nation. The First Men, the people of this nation were called, as they boldly claimed their lineage to the Gods themselves.
Despite the sentiment of divine-granted superiority, the kingdom thrived in no small part to its harmonious relationship with the other races of this world and the land itself - harnessing the magic inherent in the world and using it to build wonderous structures and marvels.
This was in no small part to the aid of the Gods themselves. Yes, I speak true. During the time of this ancient kingdom, the Gods were said to roam this world amongst their creations and were a sight no stranger than crashing lightning or a brilliant rainbow.
Monuments such as the Emperor's Arch and the Rosewall were all built during this kingdom's dominion over the world.
Eá-galwen had neighbours, though none were thought to match the power of the First Men until the arrival of Avlar. Trinity was first founded by Galweni settlers - exclusively humans - and soon declared their independence, stating more 'reserved' views. A wall was built between the two cities, which Wallsend now lies near. Helias was first settled as a haven for the less polite folk who were created by the Gods, and was soon taken over by the sultans who were as ruthless as they were efficient. Dol Gadmen was founded somewhat later; originally containing the hunting estates of the Galweni elite, more and more of the elite moved out this way for the area's serene natural beauty.
Eá-galwen welcomed all races and was a safe haven for all beings who called this world home.
Now, this once-great Kingdom is only remembered by the wonderous structures it built, the myths and fables from its time and the few people who claim to be continuing on its legacy in a world that has much changed.
