Daënfel Creation Myth
efore time existed in this world as we know it, there was the Titan. The Titan was a being as large as life itself, which roamed the Astral plane destroying life wherever it could be found. Terror at the Titan's strength was all pervading across the other beings that existed at this time and none dared stand against the creature.
That was, until a band of brave extraplanar beings who had survived the Titan's wrath challenged the beast. This group of adventurers consisted of many - warriors, mages, diviners and thieves alike - who traversed the stars, gathered in power tracking the beast across the cosmos and fought the mighty Titan.
Their battle lasted for eons, but eventually after much bloodshed and acts of courage, the Titan was slain. From the carnage only Nine members of this group survived - eight of the group who fought the Titan and an infant child born on the eve of the colossal battle.
As the great beast perished, its body crashing among the rubble of the stars, and its corpse began to change. It's blue blood pooled in every direction. It's rigid spine grew cold and frosted at the tips. It's body settled, and the world was formed. The Nine remaining beings saw this and took providence over this new land, making it their own.
Some Gods sang and the hills and trees spring up from the beast's back. Others began to mould and shape the beast's flesh into beings of their own. The divine child, a being with power over death itself, ushered the souls of their fallen comrades into these new creations, and thus The Cycle was born.
From their first creations Man was born - the Dagnir Sen - who eventually settled the lands and formed the kingdom of Eá-galwen as they spread out across the continent.
Sensing darkness within the remains of the Titan, the Gods combined their power to seal away that darkness, creating the great doors that would later become known as The Maw.
