Scrying
Effects
You can see and hear a particular creature you choose that is on the same plane of existence. The player must know the target - either by name, by having met them, or having them described accurately by someone who has. Requires at minimum a depiction of discernible features or accessories. I.E. He was a tall masked man, with purple eyes and a ruby-jeweled hilt on his blade. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw, which is modified by how well you know the target and the sort of physical connection you have to it. If a target knows you're casting this spell, it can fail the saving throw voluntarily if it wants to be observed. This ritual may only be cast once every seven days. On a successful save, the target isn't affected, and you can't use this spell against it again for 7 days. On a failed save, the spell creates an invisible sensor above the target. You can see and hear everything within 10 feet of the target, but beyond this range you only see blackness and hear nothing, even if those sounds are audible to your target. The sensor moves with your target as they move. The target of the scrying spell will be prompted to provide a 2 to 3 paragraph description of their current scene or character, or of their most recent appropriate scene. The caster of scrying may ask up to two clarifying questions. Instead of targeting a creature, you can choose a location you have seen before as the target of this spell. When you do, the sensor appears at that location and doesn't move. This interaction is only usable as part of DM events and interactions. This sensor can be detected with Detect Magic, and can be dispelled. All scrying samples are consumed on use.None are consumed, but the focus remains stationary and must be represented in the environment. If it is moved, a DM ticket must be made. Other people can use your scrying focus if they have access to it and know Scrying.
Additionally, this spell costs 1 Large Component Pouch and 1 Copper Bar.
