Antral's Bodyguards

You are not welcome in this tomb, and she would not have welcomed your presence."Undead protecting the remains of Saint Antral from necromancers and others who would want to desecrate her body. In life, they were members of Saint Antral's Rebels who were respected for their military skills. They do not like the Order of Speared Light and are in turn disliked by the Order. In general the Order do not enter Antral's Tomb to avoid interacting with her undying and ever vigilant guards. To the Order, they are less reverent towards the Saint than expected, and show this by occasionally leaving the Tomb to mingle among the people of Estopti City before returning. The most recent outing, some fifty years ago, had Order members visiting the Tomb and finding the guards playing and paying more attention to their card games than where they were pointing their weapons - directly at the would-be visitors. Her watching defenders, however, have reportedly claimed Saint Antral would never have approved of how the Order has become over the centuries and thousand+ years since Saint Antral's Rebellion overthrew the Adrakian Empire. The Order members who have reported this, however, have not shared the guards' reasoning behind why she would not approve of them. Shortly after Antral's death, mages following the Adrakian Pantheon and looking to avenge their gods upon the rebels tried to use her remains for evil magics and to violate the teachings of the Watcher of Graves. The Watcher, a Thydian deity of the Thydian pantheon Saint Antral claimed to have been chosen to restore into power, teaches that the only ones who can bring back the buried or entombed dead is the dead person themself through the deity. Any who try to force a body that had been buries, entombed, or was decaying, back into "life" is interfering with the Natural Order of the World - and interfering with the Watcher's work.
