Same as the current USA but with a lot more states and falsified votes.

Kickin' alien ass, maintaining freedom/democracy, etc. That second one is a biggie during the Unification Wars.
Assets
Big dullah, big guns count, many nukes, thicc army... well at least during the 2 Goner Invasions as the massive numbers of weapons they had quickly became outdated with how advancements in plasma weapons were pulled along and anything that uses gunpowder became the stuff of militias and "oh no my rail/plasma gun ran out of ammo" situations. Those nukes and dullahs were still helpful though, even if the UCW was annoyed about the nuclear wastelands in Africa that later became part of their territory.
History
They weren't that involved during the 1st Goner Invasion once the taking of Africa was completed (before then they offered tonnes of air support, nukings and soldiers). This was because the Goners initially pretended that they just wanted Africa and, once they revealed their bluff, the USA had already moved all their stuff out of Africa and had a master plan: let the Goners take everything, then take it from the Goners, then get to keep the territory. This didn't work due to Aramis coming into things and the USA being unable to take the very first bit of Goner land they attacked (as they chose to attack South Africa, where the strongest Goner fortresses and their ships were).
They did, however, have far more fun during the 2nd Goner Invasion, in which they partook in the smashing of 3 different Goner legions in Alaska, Mexico and Brazil and got to gain ownership of roughly half of South America (Japan got the other half as they helped quite a bit), Canada (funny story: the Canadians mistook the USA force coming in for one that was conquering them due to some skirmishes and, having already exhausted their army trying to fight the Goners in Alaska (which is why the USA won against them so easily), the politicians in Ottawa decided to have Canada surrender to the USA when it wasn't even under attack... rather than go "oh no you're mistaken please keep your nation" the USA was like "oh you're mistaken but thanks for the turf" and then defeated the Goner forces that Canadian forces worked so hard to massively weaken and took credit for the kill) and Mexico (a Goner force took over there and then went into Texas, where they were defeated by a massive, high-casualty militia effort (as most of the military was in Canada/Alaska). With the Goners defeated and the Mexican government previously destroyed by the Goners, various factions ranging from mafias to cartels to peacekeeping groups tore Mexico apart and the USA sent in its forces to re-establish order and decided to make Mexico a state of the USA while they were at it).
During the Peace Deal period (Goners made a peace deal with the humans to focus on the LIR with plans to break the deal once they beat back the LIR), the USA partook in a "peaceful scramble for the world".
With the infrastructure of Mexico and much of South America destroyed, countless people move from these locations to the still-intact areas of the previous USA (AKA Nightmare Mode for any USA folk who aren't fans of people coming into their nation), causing a housing crisis. Then Ireland lends some Americans a saving grace from ridiculous housing, water and gas prices: "hey doods if you can trace even a little of your recent (past 150 years or so) ancestry to Ireland, with legit records of these ancestors, you can come to Ireland as an Irish citizen".
This was done by Ireland because it wanted a bigger population so that they could build more stuff and make a bigger army to compete with the superpowers that were forming around this time. However, doing it at this time was kinda stupid as their population TRIPLED with Americans looking for cheaper housing, connections to their roots and leprechaun gold. The USA smelled an opportunity.
"Yo dudes Ireland should totally be 'murican because most of the population is." The USA said.
"Yo no bro not cool bro." Ireland answered back.
"Yo let's make it a democratic vote by the people of Ireland." The USA said with a USA flag behind it and an eagle squawk in the background.
"Uhh okay but they're not gonna vote for that." Ireland explained. "They left to avoid housing issues and if we become part of you then-"
USA: "AND WE HANDLE THE VOTING BALLOTS!"
Ireland: "NO!"
USA: "Hippitty hoppitty 91823189% of Irish people want to be American, according to these totally not falsified votes, so you're mine now."
Ireland: "We bring the United Commonwealth into this."
USA: Wuht
United Commonwealth: So it's a vote between being mine, being the USA's and being yourself by the people?
Ireland: Yes and we handle the votes.
USA and UCW: MADNESS! YOU'LL TOTALLY FALSIFY THE VOTES!
Ireland: What makes you think that?
USA and UCW: BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE WOULD- I mean, let's get a completely neutral organisation to do it.
Anyway, the USA totally bribed this "neutral organisation", which already consisted mostly of USA residents, and apparently 72% of Irish people wanted to be USA residents, whereas 22% wanted to be in the UCW and 6% wanted to be Irish. Apparently twice the population of Ireland partook in the vote, and most Irish residents didn't apparently vote, despite everyone being seen on CCTV showing up to voting booths. And so the USA became the US.
Some similar funny business led to the US getting Central America and a few islands. Yay.
Anyways, the US were the ones whose scientists made the Goner Remover 9000. They tried to keep it secret so they'd go and get all the territory but that didn't work out when a "terrorist organisation" (*coughs in Scandinavian Union Special Forces*) copied and stole files on its making. The Scandinavian Union mysteriously received an iron-rich collection of islands from the UCW when the UCW got knowledge of how to make this disease. It was somewhere around this point that someone leaked it out to the other 3 nations. Huzzah and they went for a free-for-all at the end of the peace deal, except this was changed to everyone getting equal territorial value when the Indian Republics got a scarily large portion of the territory.
Oh me oh my! It's the Goner Rebellion followed by the Incursion Uprising! The US has an especially hard time with the second one, ultimately having to nuke a few of its own cities to reign victorious. They also kind of helped start the Incursion as a means of stopping the Goner Rebellion.
During Humanity War 3, the US had the pleasure of taking a nice piece of territory off of the Scandinavian Union and a lovely little extreme recession immediately afterwards.
The Unification Wars happen: it's time for the US to go, but they're gonna go out with a bang first. During the war, they hire tonnes upon tonnes of mercenaries with printed money (they keep the printing secret) as well as sending a massive army to fight the UHN. Their main solution to the UHN problem is simple: have better weapons than them. However, the UHN's forces were better trained and used guerilla-like tactics against the US to ultimately destroy it. Goodbye US.
Disbandment
Getting rekked by the UHN. A few remnant factions remained, but they don't really count and were crushed over the next few decades.
Demography and Population
The USA was already a melting pot of various cultures and, while the US gets proportionally far less immigration due to increased living standards, it remains extremely diverse.
Territories
Roughly 1/5.8 of humanity's turf. On Earth: USA, Canada, half of South America, Central America, Mexico, Ireland, some islands and most of the Arctic.
Military
Focuses on having the best equipment for their soldiers, but isn't a fan of automated (robot) soldiers due to some attempts at making them going wrong (robotnik battle royale happened as their AIs ended up classing everything that moved as hostile). Could do with a bit more focus on soldier quality and numbers. Due to sheer amount of cash, can always hire tonnes of mercenaries (space pirates, ex-soldiers, rogue aliens (that defected from the LIR) and random peeps who have guns, a desire for money and an over-estimation of their survival odds) if things get dodgy.
Technological Level
Same as everyone else. Although they have way bigger nukes.
Religion
Freedom of religion = yay. Some individual states putting limits on different religions = only yay if the limit is "don't whip animals to death in the name of one of your deities or make human sacrifices" or something reasonable like that. That doesn't mean individuals within the US are accepting of all (or any other than their own) religions, complete with some unofficial institutional oppression and aggression towards members of certain religions.
Foreign Relations
United Commonwealth (common language buddies!), Oriental Empire (we wantz ur anime and robotniks) and Scandinavian Union (I see you, too, are fans of anime and shows) are buddies, except that last one when Humanity War 3 happens. The Russian Federation and puppets and Indian Republics are less-loved neighbors.
Agriculture & Industry
Pre-human-counter-attack: Ireland and Amazon are brilliant for food production.
Post-human-counter-attack: overall are producing slightly more food than they need, with a slight net export.
Industrially: this is a very capitalist state that suddenly gains access to tonnes of resources. There are tonnes of industrial complexes across the US, some of them coming complete with horror/human rights violations stories both false and true. However, the fact that the Goners were already using these resources means that, in some cases, they do run out and so there are also plenty of abandoned places.
Trade & Transport
The US boasts the fastest transport ships of all because a US company designed them and patented them under the laws of all 6 Nations. Due to this, there are more of these ships, mostly used by rich people in a hurry as they're actually very inefficient, in the US but there are plenty elsewhere as well.
