Russian Federation + puppets
The Russian Federation consists of Russia, about half of each East European country bordering Russia, half of Mongolia, a tiny bit of Northern China and the Northern half of the Middle East.
Structure
For Russia itself: same as since Putin came to power AKA Putin always has power (until he dies of "old age"). After that his nephew came to power and shut down investigations into whether or not Putin may have actually been assassinated. As for puppet states: "What are you talking about we are not very un-subtly owned by Russia those Russian troops are here to defend us from aliens and we are totally a democracy because 147% of the population voted for that guy that was videoed hugging the ruler of Russia and didn't pay for a campaign!"
Public Agenda
Well, everyone's saying "smack them aliens" until those aliens are actually smacked. After that it's just being a functional state, trying to achieve utopia, maintaining culture and all that other boring stuff.
Assets
Well equipped and highly specialised army, but lacks numbers and the over-specialization means that if an enemy, let's say the UHN, could consistently bring about situations that no available Russian units are suitable for then those Russian forces would get rekked.
History
They were attacked on 2 separate occasions by the Goners during the 1st Goner Invasion. First they were attacked from Europe, to which they responded with attritional tactics and snipers as the Goners were split into lots of small, easy to take-out-one-by-one-by-leading-them-into-traps units. Next they attacked from the Middle East, shooting Northwards through Georgia, in 3 massive contingents to which the Russians responded with nuclear bombs and death squads in lead gear.
After that, they got to keep Georgia and the other countries between Turkey and the Mar Caspio. They also got the East European countries on their border. Rather than take outright ownership of them, they were added to the Russian Federation.
After the 2nd Invasion, Russia basically got ownership of everything above a rough line going from Turkey to China. They also got Federationised and now Russia was beginning to take control of the internal governments of these nations rather than just their militaries, making them puppet states as well as federation members. Russia also got: a tinsy bit of China and half of Mongolia. Nice.
After the Human Counter-Attack, Russia was on the side of splitting things equally as it had gained little when compared to the other 5 major nations. Russian ships were known for being quite slow but well-shielded during this, which meant they had low casualties but also low land gain as that ship slowness left the Indian Republics a lot of openings to swoop in on what would've been Russian gains on numerous occasions.
During both the Goner Uprising and Insurgency, the Russian Federation didn't even pretend to care about getting caught committing war crimes and just did them anyway. No real consquences here EXCEPT FOR HOW IT MOTIVATES MANY TO DEFECT TO/WORK FOR THE UHN IN THE UNIFICATION WARS.
In the Unification Wars, the Russian Federation was the last of the 3 nations to fall. Big F.

Territories
They get to share a border with the Indian Republics and the LIR and the US! One is very annoying in how it likes to try and snipe territory and ask for loans right before stating that the loans are null, the next is an aggressive alien empire and the last is a master of economic imperialism.
Military
Extremely specialized units without much focus on making good all-round soldiers (this leads to issues when, for example, the soldiers trained as snipers get surprise-attacked by assault troops). There's also the Defense Force (an idea later stolen by the CHG) but that's mostly for elderly ex-military individuals who will only be called upon for combat when the very planet they are on is under attack.
Technological Level
Same level as other humans, slightly ahead of the LIR.
Religion
Many religions, many beliefs, many cults... it's kind of a space empire so things do get pretty diverse.
Foreign Relations
The Russian Federation and Indian Republics don't usually get along. Something about the Indian Republics swooping in on territory right as the Russian Federation was about to acquire it when it was the Russian Federation that did most of the fighting being a thing that happened on numerous occasions.
Agriculture & Industry
Decent agriculture but also a big boi when it comes to making space ships.
Trade & Transport
Everything that comes in is meant to be checked first but guards tend to just say they checked everything when they didn't.
Education
Very good educations in science, maths and engineering. History is very non-factual and should instead be called "a school period of propaganda" but that many words wouldn't fit on timetable sheets.
Infrastructure
Their architects like to copy Goner infrastructure but made with higher ceilings and bigger things to suit how humans are simply bigger than Goners. They also replace all the Goner symbols with the symbols of Mother Russia.
