The world of Ayndrinor was spoken into being by the prime deity Primus and given over to four newly created deities: Damara, Talia, Gaela, and Helī.
The age of humanity begins, as humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, and many more races are created and spread throughout Ayndrinor.
As humanoids began to gather into settlements and civilizations, they began to discover more powerful magic and reasons to war with one another. Eventually, the mageocracies became so advanced that the gods smote them from the face of Ayndrinor.
The kingdom of the Elves is founded in the forests at the heart of Ayndrinor. The main city, Fianna'bhaile, is built around the sacred tree known as Crann Sinsear, which the elves consider it their sacred duty to guard and protect.

As the mageocracies of the First Age became more and more advanced, they began to challenge the power of the Deirid and Olcrid. As punishment, to protect the power of the gods, the advanced cities were smited from the world in an instant - and anyone who had visited them or had direct knowledge of their existence had their memories wiped at the same time. Thus, the Second Age began as humanity began to bounce back from this devastation.
With the fall of the mageocracies, other smaller human cities became the focal points of the world and civilization. Though it would take several years for scholars to note the fall of the mageocracies (due to having memories wiped) and declare the Second Age, people sensed a shift in the world and had already begun to transition.
The wandering settlers of the early Second Age settled in southeastern Ayndrinor on a small isthmus, creating the city of Mont Brandis.
The largest city in the world, Everyn was founded in the early years of the Second Age and has been known for many centuries for its pacifism and tranquility. The city was conquered by the Dumein Dominion in the Everyn War and lost all self-governance in that conflict.
The Enlightened City of Kort was founded on a plateau at the base of the Backbone Spires, straddling a river that leads to a waterfall. The city is best known for its advanced technology that outpaces what some arcanists are able to perform with magic.
Originally founded in the First Age, the towns, people, and history of the kingdom was lost in The Smiting. As towns were founded and people began to connect in the Second Age, the two northern towns of the kingdom joined together through marriage and have been a united kingdom - now province of the Everyn Federation - since.
The disparate towns and cities of the island continent of Ikitur banded together to form a unified nation. The main goal of this unification was providing a common defense against the undead that constantly pour forth from Eiselberg Keep across the endless tundra.

In the dwarven city of Gel Eamoni, a new sect of individuals began to worship a new deity, challenging the order and society of the city. During the fateful incident, these Toldrunites were having a discussion with the king and his advisors on next steps for the city's planning - when one of Toldrun's followers killed the king. This group took over control of the city and decreed anyone who worshipped the ancient dwarven deity of Morgran needed to convert or be exiled. Many thousands chose exile and left the city for the neighboring kingdom of Skerritt, but they were quickly pursued by Toldrunites who branded the exiles heretics and vowed to strike them from the earth.

Eventually, Rastynex the Corrosive Maven descended upon the capital and ruled over the city for most of the year 1260 2A. The monarch of Wessil ruled from temporary camps further inland until a coalition of mercenaries and Wessilite soldiers were able to defeat the dragon in a costly assault to retake the city.
The Dumein Dominion began a conquest of the eastern half of Ayndrinor, taking all of the kingdoms in the span of just three years. Only the gnomish city of Kort remained independent at the end of the war. The consolidation of the continent under Dumeiner rule led to the creation of the Everyn Federation.
