Jraxler Rahman

Overview

Jraxler Rahman who, as a member of an adventuring party, was involved in multiple incidents during the year 584PC, culminating in Etta Maxime's dispatching of her father, Arman Justor. Upon which, he returned to his former life as an archaelogist and historian for The Aldenian Archaeological Society.

Appearance

Jraxler is a young human male, with short, dark, messy hair and blue eyes. Despite his youth, he has now been in a number of challenging fights, and picked up a few minor scars here and there. He is typically adorned in leather armour, when adventuring and keeps a leather-bound notebook close by at all times, in which he keeps record of all manner of beast and monster he has faced. He is not exceptionally strong, relying on his agility in combat and keeping a distance, where possible, attacking at range.

Personality

He in intelligent and wise beyond his relatively few years. A curious individual who fit right in with the more established members of the Archaeological Society. He is not particularly talkative with strangers, but get him onto a topic of his interest, then he will talk your ear off. He is always intent on learning more about a subject he is interested in.

History

Budding Historian
Jraxler was born and raised in River's Fork by two loving parents. The River's Fork Museum is also located there, and growing up, Jraxler gained a fascination for history from there. As soon as he was able he joined The Aldenian Archaeological Society and was taken under the wing by accomplished archaelogist and historian Auren Livaen.   One day, on an expedition with the Society, he was attacked by a mysterious large bird. He survived, but for a short while, finding it became his singular focus.
Chasing Feathers
Seeking information on this bird, he ended up in Ullford. There, he joined spontaneously joined forces with Falco Thunukalathi, Soldunn Darkhold and Katakeleo Galadonel. Together, they became wrapped up in dealing with the planned distractions leading up to and the resulting Feast of Plenty Attack on Ullford by Cyrind. The four of them became an adventuring party and were gifted a house that had sadly become available due to the attack by the Ullford Council.   Together, the four fought The Woodland Raiders for a second time (and beat them a second time). They investigated the ruins of Fior Equa and rescued an expedition by Jraxler's own colleagues from the Archaeological Society and its The Grey Scales escort from the prisons of Obskarv Stronghold, an Undrelm Castle. In the process, theu caused a local uprising from the town of Obskarv against its tyrannical leaders.   From River's Fork, after a brief visit to his home, Jraxler's journey with his party led to the oceans to a remote island where Etta Maxime's The Sisters of the Sea were holed up. Between the party and Etta and her crew, they forced their way through the permanent storm around the Eastern Isle of Aldenia to investigate a ghost town on the other side. There, they delved into a secret prison, perhaps a portal to another plane. Falco and the others rescued a man from this frozen place, where time seemed to function differently. Upon escaping with this person, the adventuring party realised this man was Nico Salvadore, an individual from The Cataclysm War. Etta Maxime is a chosen for Tidur, the god of water, and with Nico's rescue, it became apparent that Nico was the other.   Returning to Brinewatch with Nico, Jraxler, the party and Etta confronted Arman Justor at a social event, where it was revealed that he was host to a shadowy fiendish entity. Justor had made a pact many years ago, and was the cause of Dockworker's Disease, which had afflicted the town for two decades. Justor, and the entity, were vanquished.

Now

Following Justor's demise, Jraxler returned to River's Fork. He briefly reunited with Soldunn, and his then fiancĂ©e Bryss Oakhide (who was one of the people rescued from the Undrelm) to escort one of Justor's last shipments to Brinewatch as part of Etta Maxime's clean-up efforts once she took over the business. Jraxler, however, departed that mission in River's Fork to spend Year's End with his family.   In the months after Year's End, Jraxler made his way across the continent to Dunnolthar to rejoin his mentor, Auren Livaen, as she spearheaded an archaelogical dig there. During his journey, he was faced with his own Dion'dia trial, becoming the Chosen of Nona, goddess of knowledge.   There, he happened to meet The Grey Knights, the adventuring party responsible for vanquishing Cyrind. They passed through Dunnolthar on their own journey. From them, he learned of the events that transpired on Mon Vulkarna, answering many questions he had been left with regarding 'the Man in the Red Robes', and also Katakeleo's whereabouts, as they had gone missing - with a note they were fine - in the aftermath of Justor's death. The excavation that Auren Livaen and Jraxler are undertaking in Dunnolthar seems to be of great historical importance, but only one rudimentary building has been uncovered so far.   The identity of his large avian attacker also remains a mystery to him to this day.
