Adept Urtho Tyrilis Velgaris (a.k.a. the Wise)
Urtho is an Atlantean biomancer that was on Hy-Altia (the Mothership) when it landed. Even though he was a biomancer, he believed by doing no harm to his subjects, unlike most of his contemporaries of the time. He truly believed that he was improving his subject and that this would eventually help them and their race in the future.

He was born on Altaris to two loving parents that stayed behind. Urtho began school at 12 years old and excelled throughout his time at the University. He was one of the first chosen for the mission to Aquatica. He tried to mitigate the damage being caused by his coworkers after they landed on Aquatica, but was overridden by his Supervisor and Captain.
After his death, he was judged by a convocation of the Gods of Aquatica, they decided to cause him to ascend and make him the God of Evolution. This was decided, after measuring the deeds of his life, his last few choices to sacrifice himself in the service of others, tipped the scales in his favor.
Urtho was a prodigy in the School of Magic and Science Studies, he specialized in Biomancy, Gate Technology, and Medical Studies. He was one of the youngest students in a thousand years.
He had an instinctive understanding of these subjects and many others. Many think that he was a reincarnation of the previous Archmage and High Evolutionary.
He was the second in command of the Science Division and the Head of the Biomancy Medical Division on Hy-Altia before and after the ship arrived on Aquatica.
He was the best biomancer on the payroll, he was always the best wherever he went. Many companies on Altaris were constantly trying to get him to work for them, but he was very particular about who he worked for.

Urtho is of Neutral Good alignment. He does the best he can, is devoted to helping others, values personal freedom, values life and freedom above all else and despises those who would deprive others of them. At times he was forced to work beyond the law, yet for the law, and the greater good of all. He's not vicious or vindictive but is driven to right injustice. He keeps his word to those who are not evil and will lie only to evil-doers. He won't attack an unarmed foe and will never ham an innocent. He will not use torture to extract information or for pleasure.

Urtho's passion was to create; he was both an artist and inventor ever pursuing the creation of beauty. Among his creations are believed to be some of the sentient magical races of Aquatica.
Urtho lived in a tower on the western side of Atlantia near the coast, he could see Avalonia from his tower roof.
He was also an expert with Gates. He set up a network of permanent Gates running from his tower to various locations in and around Aquatica. During the Chaos Wars, he helped many of the rebels to leave Atlantia so they could fight another day.

- Urtho knows various languages and has a gift for learning more. Atlantean, Astralus, Common, Sylvan, Draconic and many others.
Urtho is considered to be the most powerful biomancer of Altaris's history. He was a prodigy even as a child and is frequently referred to as "the Wise" because he saw through his fellow Atlantean's hubris and decided to help the rebels in their war against his own kind.
He only helped in defense and healing during the War of Chaos. He preferred to do no violence but did stop various attacks.
Before the Chaos Wars Urtho put a veil on all the entrances of his tower, which only let in those that he had programmed (their biosignature) into his security system. Any others that tried to enter, would be pushed 20 ft back, knocked unconscious and gaesed to never come again.
He also placed a self-destruction spell upon his Tower that would trigger in the event of his death. He did this because he didn't want any of his inventions to fall into the wrong hands. Many could be turned into weapons, even though his original use was for peaceful research.
