Velve Nelore

Velve Nelore is the capital city of the Elvish Kingdom of Nyth Noelle, constructed within the massive birch arch-tree known as the Colonnade. The tree itself has been tended to and hollowed out to allow for travel throughout the entire city, from the roots tunneling down into the underground lower settlements of Queen's Roots, to the branches cascading up to form the Blossom Ward, hidden in the massive leaves of the great tree. Protected by the elite guards pacted to the queen known as the Elvengarde, the city works to preserve a healthy, creative lifestyle whilst dealing with the threats of both the Orcish Take to the North, and the Dwarven Ruins of Thor Estra to the East.

Demographics

The majority of people within the city are Elves, Half-Elves, and Humans who have come to Nyth Noelle and fallen in love with the culture and the area. Feyfolk can also be seen as the city borders the great Feygate, housing Satyrs, Eladrin, Sprites, Pixies, Nereids, and other creatures.

Infrastructure

  • The Collonade: The massive hollowed tree that houses the Palace of the Dynast and the Noellan Seat, as well as the Chambers of the Chosen. Enchanted with powerful druidic magic, the tree is capable of allowing its dwellers to instantly transport between rooms seamlessly. Non-attuned users or visitors however must have a denizen with them or must travel by foot to each chamber.
  • The Tower of the Chosen: The largest branch that sits parallel to the Queenskeep, where the seven Chosen reside when not on missions or on duty given by their queen. The Tower streaks down to the Halls of Reverence.
  • The Halls of Reverence: This is the crypt that holds the bodies and legendary equipment of the previous chosen in a grand mausoleum. The bodies of elves are known to deteriorate quickly after death, becoming a part of the Collonade and leaving the crypts empty for the next Chosen to be laid to rest inside of it. Across from them stand the Vaults of the Chosen, housing the legendary weapons, armor, and other items of those who have taken up the names of the Chosen.
  • The Lover's Lodge: A collection of cabins and hostels spread across the sand cliffs and beach sides of Paramore's Point, overlooking all of the city and the territory of the Elvish kingdoms as well. It is often taken in by newlyweds or nobles who wish to see the sights, watching the sunset or sunrise.
  • The House of Sun and Moon: This is the divine church of Sehanine and Corellon, where many elves come to pledge their loyalty and divine worship of the greatest of their kind. It is filled with stained-glass windows that are sensitive to both sunlight and moonlight, projecting Corellon's visage with the former and the Sehanine's with the latter. At dusk and dawn, however, it'll show a momentary depiction of the two of them dancing together, which has many Elves arriving at dawn and dusk as prime times for prayer and dedications. Attached is the Blossom Bard's Seminary and the Hall of Makers.
  • The Blossom Bard's Seminary: A bard's college dedicated to the creative arts, including poetry, instruments, writing, painting/illustration, and even sword-dancing, formed under the tutelage and dedication towards Corellon.
  • The Hall of Makers: A large institution where elves interested in the arcane arts may come to learn, hone, and train their gifts for any number of talents. They are not exclusive in their selection of elf, but open to others enrolling to train and build their skills.
  • The House of Remedies: A dedicated guild house of alchemists, healers, and potion makers, owned and run by the Order of Remedies.

Guilds and Factions

  • The Chosen: The warriors pacted to the fey queen that draw upon her power to protect the kingdom and her as well. They are identified by their rose-gold pauldrons and taking on the names of the first Chosen when they become part of the order.
  • The Order of Remedies: A guild of practitioners dedicated to the creation and research of healing salves, potions, spells, and more. They seek to use their gifts of magic and wisdom to provide aid to those who cannot utilize the same gifts.

Architecture

Elvish architecture speaks to the depictions of ancient myths and stories into the facades of their buildings.
