The Dreadwood

The Dreadwood, also known as "Ouldwoaden" in Druidic and by the tribes, is a massive forest that takes up most of the central region of the continent of Jálus, seated north of the Kingdom of Morne. A place connected to a number of powerful Leylines, the forest is known for its varied and mixed flora and fauna, caused by the constant mixing and fusion of planar energies.

Fauna & Flora

  • The Marrowhawks: The Marrowhawks are a malevolent tribe concerned with the concepts of vitality and its intricacies in living and unliving things. They consort with a number of malevolent entities such as Demogorgon, Orcus, Zuggtmoy, and Juiblex, and are mostly kept to the western avenues of the Dreadwood.
  • The Woaden: The Woaden are a group of nature-worshiping druids, focused on bonding their soul and energies with nature gods as well as the magical creatures that reside within the Dreadwood: The Minoceros ruled by their unicorn patron Praxys, The Knights Verdant under sister goddesses Melora and Chauntea, and the shape-shifting Wyldhardt.
  • The Bravenkin: The Bravenkin make up most of the Orcish and Goblinoid population, their innumerable tribes collected under this singular branch.
  • Fairsthorpe: The region of Fairsthrope is controlled predominantly by the Eladrin who have come from the Feywild in search of an escape from the warring Courts of their native plane. Here all manner of Fey is welcome to meld, mingle, and love as they may.
