Tirúlíon
Sikíronian: Tirúlíon /thɪːruːlijɔːn/
Tirúlíon was one of the successor states of the Paþarían Empire which emerged after its sudden fall a millennia ago, and ruled the Kóteran Peninsula and much of eastern Nemirkía before eventually conquering the other successors and transforming into the modern Sikíron Empire. Before the conquest, Tirúlíon was bordered by Pérgal to the west, Hekólía and a disputed region across the Gold Sea to the northwest and north, respectively.
Founded by Þrelíanus, a distant relative of the last paþarían emperor and centered on the old capital of Gedirkía on the Kóteran Peninsula, the tirúlían dynasty saw itself as as the true heirs of the Paþarían Empire, though much like its neighbours, tirúlían culture gradually became more influenced by local customs and traditions, particularly those of the Kadríans, descendants of Góalanics who had fled to the city of Kadría to escape the fall of Góalanis and the old paþarían colonies there at the hands of úrúnan orcish invasions.
The kadríans' skills at all things arcane gave Tirúlíon a significant edge against its rivals, particularly by introducing new techniques in healing, magic staff making and arcane warfare, the same things that had kept the paþarían armies at bay centuries earlier, though the kingdom's successes were often hindered by court intrigue. The last of the tirúlían dynasty, Þermantía II, was overthrown by her uncle Sarketor, whose rule proved so tyrannic that when a trio of kadríans led a rebellion from Kadría, even his generals did little to stop them reaching the palace.
Now ruled by queen Ástía, she and her two brothers went on a series of campaigns throughout Nemirkía and the Meldon Plain during the late eighth century a.Paþ, culminating in a victory against Alþa Zerkó, ruler of Pérgal, thus reunifying central Adynía under one banner once, now that of the Sikíron Empire.
