in my travelling i heard the phrase, 'home is where the heart is' which just seems stupid to me. literally, your heart is always with you, so then anywhere you are physically would be home. i guess that could be true? i mean with our adventuring that's kinda the case, spending so much time on the road and not in beds, but still.
 
and i do understand the sentiment, that home is wherever the people you love are. the problem with that, personally, is that means i'm not actually at home. and haven't been for months. and while that's technically true, it also doesn't feel entirely right anymore either. i do long for my family, and my village even sometimes, but i don't know if that automatically makes it home either.
 
i think there can be a lot of factors in deciding what home means to you. for me, right now, i'm not sure i have a literal home. because home does make me think of my family, but it's also starting to mean the rest of pyra cantha, and i don't really know how to reconcile that for myself. is home where my blood is? is home where i am with pyra cantha?? is home an ever changing concept from one person to the next? oh god that sounds like something issac would say.
 
for now, i guess, home is both. and neither. i don't really think this village is my current home just cus we're here a few days. but i'm with my friends so ???
 
i don't know where home is, but every day i'm figuring out what it means a bit more.
