It can also be a useful tool for mentioning an important item's last known location. Like a mythical artefact was said to be buried with its last known keeper and then oh, we find out who that was - awesome choice!
I like this idea. Also with this what about adding a revival date. Sometimes people are resurected.
nice idea and it would also prompt people to actually think about making cemetery and other places of the likes in their world.
I see comments about "current residence" being used, but I disagree - a dead body cannot "reside" (i.e. "live in", the most common definition) anywhere.
This provides an excellent story hook, links in to holy site creation, significant city landmark elements and excellent background for undead encounters or significant historical organization sites of interest - not to mention archeological elements.
I actually really like this idea. While I do agree that final resting place is technically current residence, this does fit better.
Adding a "final resting place" makes sense. Sure, technically it would also be their "current residence", but that sounds a bit weird to me. Like they had a furnished appartment there and/or their remains were highly likely to move to yet another place...
Well if they are deceased and buried at a cemetery/crypt/graveyard then that is their current residence.
I do believe this is needed!. Would also make it easier to link places that are considered a place of burial with the characters who are buried there!
