Favorite Movies

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - These movies are among my favorite of all time, although they do have their faults (most being the changing of certain character arcs from how they actually were) they do not really detract from my enjoyment of these movies, the casting was almost flawless, and the depiction of Middle Earth that Peter Jackson created is super immersive and has heavily inspired many of my works and visions.
The MCU Movies - Though I'm not much of a Super Hero nerd, the MCU movies were nonetheless, incredible, the interweaving of the storylines made the entire marathoning fo the movie a fantastic experience, and a little game of trying to figure out who is next in the order. If i had to pick my favorite movie of the universe, my top two would be Dr. Strange and Thor Ragnarok, as their use of "Magic" most appealed to the hardcore Tolkienesque fantasy nerd that I am.
The Indiana Jones Movies - When I saw these movies as an adolescent, I immediately wanted to be an Archaeologist, I ad always had an interest in history, wanting to be a paleontologist, Historian, and even the real world Indiana Jones, Something about digging in some lost tomb and discovering lost parts of history put me under a spell of addiction that carried over all the way to my University Studies.
Star Wars: The Original Trilogy - I grew up on these movies, so they ave easily become a favorite that I regularly rewatch, but most of their love is nostalgia, as I firmly Believe that the Star Wars Franchise has been done to death, HOWEVER there are still many many great things about this franchise. including its start.
Star Wars: Rogue One - Quite Possibly my favorite Star Wars Movie, most definitely the favorite of the Disney era for me, the characters were memorable and fresh, and the story created a great tie-in to the original trilogy, of which I've already stated is part of my "Divine Scriptures" of movies.

Favorite TV Series

A Game of Thrones - Like with the Books, the Game of Thrones TV Series is among some of my biggest Influences, I cite the Works of Martin among one of my greatest influences when it comes to character intrigues and personalities, as well as how to make genuinely hateable villains. The Game of Thrones TV show gets a recommend from me for anyone interested in a grimdark, gritty world, with a lot of gorey details, and some accuracy (NOT Fully accurate, but still believable) when it comes to the weapons and fight scenes.
Avatar: The Last Airbender - I do not watch a lot of Animated Series, but ATLA was one that really hooked me, three seasons of a great story, loveable characters, and possibly one of the greatest redemption arcs ever written (looking at you Zuko) I was hooked on this series from the first few episodes (I have a personal policy that even if I hate the first episode of a series, I have to at least watch a couple more before forming an opinion). this is a great series even for people who don't watch a lot of Animated shows.
Fairy Tail - One of my first forays into the world of Anime, Fairy Tail ended up being a favorite series of mine, the chemistry of the main characters, and the overall theme of friendship appealed to me as a Tolkienite, while there are a couple of arcs that are not as great as the rest, the series is still a favorite of mine and will be worth a rewatch or two.
Netflix's The Witcher - Watching this series develop was nerve-wracking, The Witcher was my all-time favorite Novel series, and I absolutely adored the games, I didn't want Netflix to come in and screw up my obsession... they delivered, the Netflix Witcher series was easily one of the best things I've watched, it doesn't follow the story exactly, but it does a great job of keeping the viewer interested, yes, the timeline shift is a bit confusing at first, but if you are familiar with the story from the first book, you shouldn't have any problems figuring out the chronology of events. I cannot wait for the second season of this Series, and still cite The Witcher as one of the greatest fantasy stories of all-time, up there with the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.

Favorite Books

The Witcher Series - Andrzej Sapkowski
I hail the Witcher as one of the greatest Fantasy Series of All times, like with everything, it has its flaws, and is not for everyone, but it is my obsession, te setting HIGHLY appealed to me as a specialist in Eastern European history and folklore, the characters are loveable and memorable, with the relationship of Geralt and Dandelion, as well as Geralt and Ciri's Relationships being in my top 5 character-to-character Relationships of all time. to me, it is a perfect blend of a dark, gritty world, and an epic adventure.
I have two favorite books in the series, those being The Last Wish and The Tower of Swallows
  The Hobbit/The Silmarillion/The Middle Earth Legendarium - J.R.R. Tolkien
This is a given for any fantasy lover, even if you don't LOVE Tolkien, you have to respect what he did for the genre, Tolkien took the fantasy genre and thrust it into the limelight, he is, in effect, one of the forefathers of the genre, and has inspired hundreds, if not thousands of modern fantasy writers in at least some way.
If I had to pick a favorite book from this series, It would be The Silmarillion
A Song of Ice and Fire - George R.R. Martin
Quite Possibly, the most Iconic Grimdark Fantasy series in the world, George R.R. Martin was the first Adult fantasy author I adventured into after Tolkien, and I fell in love with the series (not as hard as the Witcher or LOTR, but this is a solid top 10) Martin's description of scenes, characters, and gore was a bit hard to overcome at first, but once I got used to the writing style. I was hooked   Though I haven't re-read the series in a while, My favorite of the 5 published books would have to be A Dance With Dragons   The Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson
The First Law Series - Joe Abercrombie
