Autumnfall

A town like no other in this world - Autumnfall, named after the late Vincent Autumnfall who helped secure the funds to make this town prosper, is literally from another planet. Brought from their old planet by the guild Overgrowth, this small green patch of land is surrounded by the ancient Cutlass Forest on the edge of the Four Sword Plains.   Kingdom Building Settlement Sheet:

    The government is run as a beneficial autocracy with Mintmay Liddel as the leader, and a team of council members alongside her. Taxation is currently high although this is alleviated via the use of social programs to make the tax burden less harsh on its residents. The laws of the old world generally apply to this world.

    Defences

    After the recent First Contact with the Syntalius the council decided enough was enough and have since begun construction the town walls. Prior to this the towns only defence was the newly trained guard units.

    Industry & Trade

    Fishing and farming are the traditional industry of Overgrowth however Autumnfall is beginning to show renewed promise through its urban crafts. This balance could lead to Autumnfall becoming a rather self sustained town, which given the precarious of nature of the new world, is by no means a bad thing.

    Guilds and Factions

    The largest guild in Autumnfall is Overgrowth however there is a growing resurgence of the old world's guilds within the urban craftsmen particularly, leading many workers clamouring for new guilds to be sponsored and set up.

    Architecture

    Although situated in a forest, the core foundation for most of the cities buildings is from stone. The stone was initially transported from the Old World meaning that the structures are quite unique in this new world. Most of the stonework is granite and sandstone. The houses tend to be reminiscent of the old world style although new world wood is slowly being introduced into the area.

    Geography

    The centre point of Autumnfall - that around the guild hall - is made up of lush green grass, with a few old world trees, and flat land. However as you head further out the forest is clearer to see. The grass is soon, and suddenly, replaced with the deep red and brown mosses that line the forest floor, as well the giant red leaves that have fallen from the trees. There is a small old world lake, and a new world river running through the town.

    Natural Resources

    The wood from the surrounding forests is a huge boon to the construction of the buildings, as well as an asset to be utilised as trade begins to blossom. The people of Autumnfall have begun to explore all avenues of natural resources including the local beasts.
