Yr

In the beginning there was only ice. This ice was melted away by the gods, and from the ground grew life. The gods did not create this life, but they nurtured some of it, and spurned others. Those which were spurned rose up and overthrew the old gods, proclaiming themselves the rightful rulers of this world - though soon after their civilisations collapsed seemingly overnight. Or so it is said by the T'alyu.   This is a world of war and magic, born in fire and ending in fire. There is no sense in pretending otherwise, despite its lawns of beauty and its fields filled with life of all kinds, violence is the purveying force of Yr. Two great forces in specific fight, those of the old gods, and those of the new. There are those who believe the gods were all-powerful, and those that believe that all power leads to becoming a god.   Whilst these forces battle it out, threats from further afield grow larger and larger with every passing year. Our heroes arrive in this maelstrom of chaos and warfare, but will they choose to restore the gods or chase divine power themselves? perhaps they they will choose to create their own destiny.
