Duat
Duat is a small, but thriving, settlement on the southern side of The Wall of Tears.
Government
All those who dwell within Duat are ruled by The Valcoran Empire, via a representative that can be found in the Grand Plaza.
Defences
Duat has almost no defense to speak of, relying instead on the ability to withdraw behind The Wall of Tears should a threat arise.
Guilds and Factions
Many of the old orders dedicated to The Torrezon Pantheon can be found here in. Including sects of Order of the Ibis Feather, The Wurm Concordant, a chapter of The Order of the Dead, and the last remaining temple of The Church of Osirant.
Mummification is also preformed here, and it is said that the practitioners here are the most skilled in the entire empire. Many of the ruling families in Semunet and Apsoset are known to send their dead here for preparation.
History
Daut began its life as the second seat of The Torrezon Pantheon after the destruction of their former seat in The Field of Ruin following the Valcoran-Ssashathan War.
Architecture
Most of the buildings here follow an old construction style, being molded from clay bricks. These are often adorned with holy symbols of the Gods t sanctify them against the intrusion of evil spirits, unresting dead, and snakes.
Geography
The surrounding area is mostly a dry grassland to the west, and soft dunes to the east. The southern portion of the city sits slightly north of Osirants' Heart, and the taller buildings there hold a view of the breadth of its watery expanse.
