Danrose Plains

"The great beating heart of Tempora's livelihood is Misty Run, a sprawling city atop the Danrose Plains. Nowhere in the world compares to the fertility of these lands, and they should be revered for their productivity."     -An Elvish Guide to Temporan Tourism, circa 1344
The Danrose Plains are a broad expanse of flatland in central Tempora, bordered by the Marrekoth River in the south, the Impasse Hills to the west, the Plyrior River to the north, and the Faronian Hills to the east. They are some of the most arable land in the world and are home to approximately 75% of Tempora's agricultural activity, much of which is transported to other regional hubs like Oakenward and Athewell.

Geography

The Danrose Plains stretch for all of the visible flatland above, containing the settlements of Misty Run, Chacester, and Nord'ial. Misty Run has access to the Marrekoth River to the south as its main source of water, and the landscape is dotted with small ponds and bodies of freshwater that are small enough that they aren't displayed on the map.

Localized Phenomena

The Danrose Plains have the largest number of Ley Lines and Ley Intersections in Uthilith, which is why they were originally settled by Astrid Ermendrud in the days post-Genesis. Thus, they are rife with magical activity and energy found nowhere else in the world.

Climate

The Plains are a warm-summer humid continental climate, defined by four very distinct seasons. Summers are warm but not typically extreme, and winters are cold with significant precipitation and snowfall.
