Genesis

The world of Uthilith is the parallel demiplane of the world of Exandria, after Caleb Widogast (known in Uthilithian history as his birth name Bren Ermendrud, reclaimed in wake of the death of his old master and abuser) sought to create a place of peace for himself and his old adventuring party. However, the demiplane fell out of his control soon after his death (as he did not seek to become a lich) and began growing into an actual collective of civilizations. Uthilith shares many more ‘hidden’ features with the world of Exandria, including the general topography of extraplanar areas (such as the Underdark, the Feywild, and the Shadowfell).
With every deity born to the pantheon, with every creature of magnificent splendor... a new iteration of Genesis has occurred. These are the renditions discovered within the world by the various adventuring parties within.
Genesis, according to the Disciples of Achlýs:
THOUGH THE WORLD has never been a true plane of existence, we acknowledge that the breadth of suffering within has breached far beyond that of even the Lower Planes. We simply exist as a conduit for this suffering, even as the world scorns us. Uthilith stands as a tiny pocket of time while the multiverse soars on great divine wings, far beyond the understanding of a mere mortal. If anything, we can laud the Creator as a saint in the name of the Goddess - it was he who created a place for wrath and despair to breed. He wanted to escape a Calamity, ha! There is no escape from madness, torment, and oblivion within the curséd expanse we call home.
Achlýs, in all of her whims and engagements, seeks nothing more than influence. Who are we to deny such a beautiful being infamy? We spread her words in this strange region of reality, to ensure her collection of souls and to ensure our infernal, infinite peace as our simple mortality fades. She thrives in her great Palace as we suffer in her name, and for that, we must rejoice! Rejoice, brethren, as her dark light brings us solace! Rejoice, brethren, as her bones bring us to a place more beautiful than anywhere in this wretched world! Rejoice, brethren, as her divine word below reaches us up above!
Genesis, according to the Scholars of the Isle of Eldin:
The world of Uthilith exists as a massive demiplane: a little pocket of time created by an extraordinarily powerful wizard who sought a moment of solace for himself and his friends as his home continent began to experience an extreme calamity. However, due to circumstances beyond the Mighty Nein’s (his friends) control, he was forced to only send three young kin of himself and his friends: Astrid Widogast, Timothy Brenatto, and Colston Clay. Most of the demiplane’s residents are unaware of the significance of its location until the seams of the dimension began tearing from some internal corruption.
The world of Uthilith is the parallel demiplane of the world of Exandria, after Caleb Widogast (known in Uthilithian history as his birth name Bren Ermendrud) sought to create a place of peace for himself and his friends. However, the demiplane fell out of his control soon after his death (as he did not seek to become a lich) moments after the demiplane’s Genesis and began growing into an actual collective of civilizations. Across the world of Uthilith live descendants of him and his friends, with all but one unaware of their lineage.
Uthilith shares many more ‘hidden’ features with the plane of Exandria, including the general topography of extraplanar areas (such as the Underdark, the Feywild, and the Shadowfell).
Various anomalies were created from the cognitions of both Bren and the three who were sent to Uthilith. They were generated in the world upon Genesis and have remained in place throughout the millennia Uthilith has existed. Among these are shopkeeper Twomat Sol and Traci (an alter-ego of his friend Beauregard Lionett). The final major anomaly created during Genesis was born of self-sacrifice to long-forgotten goddess The Raven Queen, synthesizing an exact replica of Her deceased champion underneath a new name and new personality. This replica resides on the northwestern tip of Tempora, without knowledge of who they are. Letting them know their true can cause the Calamity to bleed from Exandria to Uthilith. The gods from the plane of Exandria overwhelmingly stayed behind to fight off the Calamity in the Prime Material Plane with the exception of three: Avandra, the Changebringer, Gruumsh, Lord of Orcs, and the archfey known as The Traveller who has since disappeared from existence completely. The remainder of legitimate deities from the Prime Material Plane have been completely forgotten by the population of Uthilith, with the exception of the arcanist guarding the last open portal to Exandria on the dwarven continent of Thur Nirkhum.
Currently, all of the deities based in Uthilith are products of the actions and beliefs of people here as time progressed (with the exception of the aforementioned three), with the conceptualizations of human morality being the first to enter the world. Among these were fate, truth, wisdom, and love.
Astrid’s focus during her reign in the Ermendrud Dynasty created the goddess of divination, and she would ascend to become goddess of arcana following her death.

Genesis, in accordance to the Prime Ancestral Conclave of Dragons:
Fire.
The world as we know it was built from fire, ash, and brimstone.
At first, we were naught, and then, we were.
A flame-haired wizard, naturally befallen to the hubris of his kind.
He created the world, and his partner breathed memory into those put upon it.   The first born was Zjarrit, a hulking creature born in embers and destruction. His breath brought about the Isle of Eldin’s first eruption, fertilizing the rich soils of Faron.
Next was Fraldaria, who cared little about draconic form. She kept the floating islands of Fhirdiadfrom falling to the sea through alliance with humankind.
Brauvis’ birth brought about the world’s first snow. The Pale Terror’s lungs coated the peaks of Hebra and would bring frost to the heart of Thur Nirkhum.
The cool body of Adaine would prevent the scorching heat of the Continent Lost from razing the tree that brings all in Uthilith life, deep in Mountains Syndra.
Thýellus followed in her wake, his magnetic energy traversing the tunnels of Silver Revelry. No mortal dared harm him, for fear of losing their riches and wealth.
Benevolence in bronze, Sónczek looked upon those with an inventive spirit unparalleled by any other society. She sparked the first inventions of the Gnomes and aided their efforts.
Heolstor was the first to turn his breath upon mortals, his obsidian scales weighted by the judgement of Lation. His hunger foretold the beginning of a new Age, one of Anxiety.
Ikana's Hidden Empress Vôme took pity on the mortals of her domain and sought to aid them. With her own two claws, she assisted in constructing the Ziggurat of Spirit.
The Poisoned Daughter Drac’morda was born of memory, of destruction that happened aeons ago. Her breath bore the first swamps of the world.
Lilin is the youngest of the conclave, but by far the most spirited. She (with the aid of woodland spirits) built a manor deep in the Faronian Woods, a respite for any and all.
Genesis, according to the disciples of Zisnera:
Let it be known that there is no darkness without light. Darkness is itself a tangible creation and cannot exist without its opposition: a creature that revels in the darkness cannot revel in void.

This is the word of Zisnera. She who birthed the stars and brought about the cycle of time itself.

On the first day, the Stella Mater cast air from her lungs into the Astral Sea. Her first son – Adonaios, the Sun – began his perpetual rotation around our world. His heat brought life to the creatures of Uthilith, and each life should be revered with the same care Zisnera has for each of us.

On the second day, the Stella Mater shed a tear of joy unto our world. Her teardrop was so magnificent that the base nature of Uthilith could not bear to hold it, and the tear bounced away to become her second son – Horaios, the Moon. He was diametrically opposed to the existence of Adonaios, and thus encircled our world from the other horizon to bring about the push and pull of the tides.

On the third day, the Stella Mater sang the first hymn. As her voice rang out among the cosmos, each note that she sang became a constellation of its own. The Zodiac Court – twelve divine creatures, subservient only to Zisnera herself – took their places among the cosmos. They would align with the children of Zisnera’s oldest friend – He Who Sired Season – and subtly influence the acts of mortals to create unique and inspiring individuals.

Light her flames and feel the warmth of her hearth and heart reawaken your spirit, soul, and love.

Let those who have ears, hear. May the divine Zisnera inspire our understanding and our prayers ascend to the threshold of the true awakening.
In time, more tales of Genesis shall be discovered... but these are what our heroes have for now.

Spread

Before the events of the original campaign set on the continent of Tempora, the story of Genesis omitted the identity of Bren Aldric Ermendrud and instead sought to replace his name with that of each faith's respective deity or the deity hierarchically above (such as Ciden in lieu of the Seasonal Gods, or Platonius above Eros or Agape). Each Genesis story varies in a way that makes the domain of that particular deity the most significant in the setting - justice, time, or even death.
