The Duryad Imperial Royal Navy
"Detect, Deflect, Destroy!"
The Duryad Imperial Navy, The Durish Navy or The Imperial Navy, also known as the Duryadh Fleet, was the naval warfare arm of the Qyzharate. It is by far the largest branch of The Imperial Qyzharate of Duryad's military. With cavalry and artillery vying for 2nd place. While navies have existed throughout the Qyzharate's history, the current navy was established by Dahrmuyahd III. Beginning in 252 AC, it rose to prominence as the strongest navy in the world.
Malarian wrote in the sixth book of his History that the Duryadi were, "more exercised in maritime affairs than any other people".
Their garrison is at Z'ar Rilark, a town north-east of Ternosear. Ships built at the Ternosear Dockyards must be sailed there to complete their outfitting. Most of the ships laid in ordinary are also kept there. The navy is also headquartered at the Admiralty Building in Ternosear, and the admirals' flagships are anchored just offshore from the city.
The Navy is led by the position of the Kabudyan Zhervizar (Fleet Admiral; literally Grand Sea Lord").
During its long existence, the The Durish Imperial Royal Navy has been involved in many conflicts and signed a number of maritime treaties. It played a decisive role in the Submission of Zalhor and the subsequent expansion into the Adhur'khal Sea and Sabre Seas. At its height in the 1st century PC, the Navy extended to the Ocean of the Great Drown, sending an expedition to Euron in 23 PC, and by the early 32 PC operated as far as the southern shores of Ashad.

Structure
The Admirlity
The Durish Imperial Royal Navy is lead by the Lord High Admiral appointed by the Qyzhar/Qyzharah and serves as one of the Qyzhar(ah)s Ministers. They are responsible for overseeing various aspects of the Navy and Marines and overseeing over their operations. Directly under him is the board of Admiralty which is lead by the First Sea Lord, the board oversees the execution of the administration and operations of the Navy. The navies system of ranks generally follows the Shaladar, Shaa'douin and Djerate systems which preceded it.Imperial Royal Marines
The Imperial Royal Marines is also lead by the Lord High Admiral. The marines are the primary ground forces of Duryad due to their ease of deployment across her vast holdings of the Qyzharate. The Imperial Royal Marines are specialized in Rapid dominance, skirmish-and shock tactics boarding and besieging coastal forts, ship to ship boards although rare, most of the time they serve as elite amphibius ground forces. The Royal Navy The Navy has a wide variety of objectives such as fighting pirates and slavers in the Durish held waters to a lesser degree, to projecting power to various independent nations from citystates of the Nympharum Concoorde to the Euron and Ashad Spheres, the navy escorts Duryad's vast merchant fleets in times of War, as well as establishes blockades on entire coasline sections and directly engaging enemy navies when they choose to challenge Her Imperial and Royal Majesty's Durish Navy in battle. The Durish Imperial Royal Navy is divided into four fleets each led by an Admiral (reis pasha), Vice-Admiral, and Rear-Admiral. The home fleet admiral is in charge of the navy as a whole. Each ship is commanded by a captain followed by lieutenants , and a sailing master. Midshipmen are recruited by individual captains. Captains can be raised to commodore as needed to command squadrons. On shore, a variety of offices manage the provisions and needs of the ships. The Armaments Office is in charge of weaponry, the Victualling Office manages supplies, food, and drink, the Chirgury Office runs the naval hospitals and verifies the appointments of surgeons, the Shipbuilding Office is in charge of building and ordering new ships, and the Navy Office oversees the other offices, manages the navy's finances, commissions officers, verifies warrants, and appoints representatives to Parliament.Flags and Colors
The Navy on shore uses a variation of the Durish Imperial Standard, The five fleets fly a solid colored ensign with the Imperial Standard in the canton. In addition to an ensign, all commissioned ships fly a red commissioning pennant which is forked at the end. Commodores fly a yellow pennant to indicate their status as a squadron leader, and flagships fly a blue pennant. The pennant is always flown from the mainmast.Culture
Much of the culture of the The Durish Imperial Royal Navy is shared with sailors, be they friend or foe , civillian or military.
Superstition
Like most sailors, many of the Durish Imperial Royal Navy , just like the forebears are concerned with curses, omens, and other matters of luck. Many are highly religious and are active followers of Bahamut.Ships Badges
The Durish Imperial Royal Navy assigns badges to every ship, submarine, squadron and shore establishment. Currently, ships are identified by their figurehead, which is carved prior to the ship's maiden voyage. Many of these figureheads have artistic depictions that are represented either in small uniform patches or insignias decorating standard issue materials.Toasts
The Toasts of the Imperial Royal Navy are a set of traditional drinking toasts. Day|Toast|Alternates Codoras|"Absent friends"|"Absent friends and those at sea" Peloras|"Our ships at sea"|"Our native land. Queen and country" Avandras|"Our sailors and shipmates"|"Our mothers, fathers and venerable Elders." Xymoras|"Ourselves"(usually with the informal reply "for nobody else, but the gods and our Father, Bahamut/Xymor/Marduk will concern themselves with our well-being!")|"Ourselves. Our Blades. Old Ships" Soldras|"A bloody war or a sickly season"|(no alternative) Erathas|"A willing foe and sea-room"|"Skimracing, Hunting and old port." The Duryad Imperial Royal Navy's objectives are multi-faceted, but generally the supreme goal is to secure naval dominance across the nine seas. The seizure of illicit mercantile vessels, foreign land, and capture rival fleets in the name of Qyzharah Haalymah Asherah Yrb Bhalaur Yhl-Duhryad are means by which this is carried out.
Maintain coastal borders and aerial borders
Protect trade ships
Be ready to fight and defend Duryad's national interests by sea and air
Assets
Currently, the navy consists of 86 vessels whose crew is 40,600 men, roughly two-thirds (30,000) are oarsmen and sailors, and the remainder (10,600) fighters.
The backbone of the navy's manpower is a core of professional rowers drawn from the lower classes of Duryadi society. This give the Duryadi fleets an advantage in training over the less professional fleets of its rivals.
