Xarnas System
A G class star in the Arcturus galaxy.
The Xarnas system appears like a regular star system, largely beneath most factions' notice. However, only in very recent years (43 992) has it been found to be the home system of the legendary Xadia Ancients. This discovery caused the HSA to explore the system, dedicating a lot of resources to exploration. It could be why there are so many precursor artifacts and megastructures in Arcturus compared to other galaxies. Was the Rikavi Ancients homeworld in the Arcturus galaxy too? What other precursor factions could trace themselves back to Arcturus?
These questions made the true value of the star system obvious despite its lack of resources or points of interest compared to more valuable star systems.
The key discovery happened due to a HF inexperienced, unprofessional archaeotech team finding a small cluster of archaeotech. They had a feeling that something important could be on one of the computers there, so spent entire years underground in this complex studying the archaeotech. This way, they eventually found the data and the HF immediately offered them positions as archaeotech scientists in the HSA .
The probable Xadia homeworld is of particular interest for obvious reasons. Surprisingly, they found very little archaeotech there but archaeologists managed to find out a lot about very early Xadia history. This star system is an excellent source for the HSA and will likely remain under study for thousands of years.
