Gaian Station

A 'large' station built by the Hyperion Federation in orbit around the Urgand System neutron star, the Anagon homeworld.

Gaian Station was a station designed to act as a place of diplomacy between the anagons and HF. As such, it can handle both anagons and most hyperion species simultaneously. However, anagons are almost too small for humans to easily see and humans are too large for anagons to realistically interact with. As such, screens and speakers are used to allow easier interaction.

Anagons initially evolved on a neutron star. They can handle extremely high gravities, so the HF has managed to increase the gravity strength on the anagon sections of the station to incredibly high levels of about 20g, which is considered low gravity for the anagons. Another requirement that was caused by this was that the station must be strong enough to hold a number of anagons at this gravity - anagons put an incredible amount of weight in a very small area, so the HF had to build the floor out of a very strong type of TGX Composite that focused on compressive strength.

The anagon technocracy was amazed by the immense scale of the Gaian station despite it being quite small to the hyperionites. It obviously appears very large to the anagons, so the HF has built teleporters to help them get around instead of having to walk tens or hundreds of meters - which would be like walking for days on end as an anagon.

The HF has also used the station to help defend the Urgand system. They have placed tachyon radars on the station so the anagons can prepare for any incoming invasion forces should they be detected. This improves HF-anagon relations slightly. The HF has also placed their own weapons on the station although they never let any anagons get close to the station (outside of diplomacy. in which case they are watched to make sure they don't steal HF technology) to ensure that no anagon tries to steal HF technology.

It is powered through antimatter annihilation cores as well as ZPE and Planck-Dismantlement Beams as redundancy.
