Demonhead Island
Half a dozen leagues off the coast of Terra Main, south of Southton in the Flowing Sea, is a large, volcanic, tropical island. This island is considered, by those who have been privileged enough to have seen it, to be a tropical paradise.
Geography
Emerald green, nearly vertical mountains climb into the misty sky, while teeming jungles fill the gaps between. Sandy beaches ring most of the island, with the exception of the northern coast, which is primal volcanic rock and jagged mountains.
Tourism
Used exclusively by the aristocracy and oligarchy of Southton as a private vacation destination, there are only a few types of people that 'tour' the island. One is either a guest, a guard, or a indentured servant, often referred to as a 'host'. Guests tend to stay from a week to a few months, especially the cooler months of winter. Guards, who are well-compensated for both their silence and hazard pay, tend to rotate back to the mainland ever 2 weeks, depending on the ferry schedule. 'Hosts', who are almost exclusively Genasi, Teiflings, or Aasimar, are both physically and magically coerced into staying on the island to perform all mundane tasks, including cooking , cleaning, maintenance, and fulfilling the whims of their guests... with no hesitation or limit.
