Skytouch Mountains
A massive, jagged, and nearly impassable mountain range stretches north to south on the eastern side of the continent of Terra Main... these are the Skytouch mountains, named after their highest peak. Riddled with caves, Dwarven Holds (most abandoned and monster-infested), and hidden passes, these mountains have claimed many an explorer and adventurer seeking forgotten treasure or knowledge.
Politically, they mark the boundary between the City-States of Terra and Southton, with the Southern Cross being the main pass between the two.
The Dwarven cities of Skyharbor and Deepgate are located within Skytouch mountain, which is located near the center of the range.
An ancient Dwarven road built upon an underground river, both called the "Marduhk Kuhn", runs the length of the range. This dark and glassy river can be accessed through several points along the base of the range and even has a few sea entrances at the northern and southern extremes. This river can be traversed by a carved road that along the side of the river, or by boat, even medium-sized seagoing vessels, due to the depth and width of the river and the height of the natural cavern ceiling.
