Valkyrie

The Valkyrie are beings of aether and storms, winds and feathers, bound closely to the weather and creatures of constant change and perhaps a little bit of chaos. Once there was another name for them, yet the myths and stories the ancient Nordic folk pleased them so well they favor this name over others. Those are far from the only stories about these winged beings, though any would laugh upon being called angels. Rather they have been known as:
Valkyrie, furies, harpies, peris, tengu, swan maidens and more. 
Valkyrie are often fierce warriors, or focus on supporting those who are, frequently serving in the Gale for Autumn Court. They can be either gender, it is only that the females often caught human's attention in the past, and that their leadership, like most fae, is matriarchal which was a surprise to many early humans and started the stories of warrior females. 

Inherent Abilities

• Flight - (Racial) - One thing that remains the same for all Valkyrie is their ability to take to the sky with wings. The color and shape of those wings may vary, not all are the white of stories. They can pull their wings into their bodies when needed, though most prefer to not hide them.

(Skill level in flight varies by individual experience, but all Valkyrie can fly to some degree, some fly before they walk.)

Community Style

Valkyrie are incredibly proud about their individual covens, and sometimes engage in rivalries with other covens for who has the fastest, the most powerful, the most agile. They are also the fae most obsessed with bloodlines due to the competitive nature fostered, and also the most typically against mixing with other fae to bring children about. Typically mixed Valkyrie do not remain among the coven's as they grow to maturity.
