Sirens

Siren are fae tied most closely to the soul, making them innately connected to dreams and their power. Their voice and will can mesmerize, prompting countless legends of them in every culture. Human fear speaks of luring the unwary to the depths, yet their power is typically used to guide those in need. The depths are not only those of water, but also of the soul, of dreams. Beyond siren's they have also been called:   Alkonost, näcken, fossegrim/grim, iele, and more.    The defining trait of Siren's is the power of their voices and their connection to dreams. Water serves as a conduit for the power of their voices, amplifying it typically, and between the connection to the element of water and their skill with Dreams the Siren race prefers the Winter Court above all others. Large Siren settlements have risen up around the Temple of Azuar in particular, one of the most sacred places for Dreamweaving.

Inherent Abilities

  • Enchanting Voice - (Racial) - All siren's share the trait of a magical voice, though how that is expressed is typically highly individual. They can never force someone to do something that is not in their nature, but they can sooth, charm and invite.
(Skill level and expression are widely different across Siren's and up to the individual player.)

Community Style

Sirens are an incredible diverse group, some preferring solitude, others community. There are a number who venture away from Winter, and plenty who remain. Immediate family rather than a clan or coven like structure tends to be the focus of these fae.
