Daoine Sidhe

Daoine are beings of great power, one of the four rare races among the fae and the ones most predisposed to healing gifts. As the most human seeming of the rare fae they were often taken to be gods and goddesses in the past, with countless stories around them. The majority of myths around pantheons and demigods were actually of this species attempting to safeguard humans from their own greed and the influence they have on wild magic, unknown to mortals. They have also been known as:
Sidhe, Tuatha Dé Danann, elves, and more.
Due to their ability to heal most Daoine are pacifists in nature, though those who do chose to pick up weapons tend to commit themselves fully to protecting others. It is rumored that often they can be entrapped by pleas for help, suffering a savior's complex that compels them to attempt to help others far past sense at times. They align to whichever Court suits best their own particular interests, though most do spend some length of time at the Cradle of Dawn in Spring, honing their healing abilities.

Inherent Abilities

• Radiance - (Racial) - When particularly swept up in passion of any kind, from desire to temper to giddy delight, Daoine betray their mood with a nimbus like glow that increases with the intensity of their emotion.

(The intensity of the glow tends to be individual, as is the color. This trait is part of what made early humans revere them as deities.)

• Healing - (Racial) - All Daoine share a gift for healing, granting them a fourth ability slot on profiles, though what they heal can be incredibly varied, from the sick and injured, to books, to rips in portals and more.

(This power must be listed out in the profile, noted as Daoine Bloodline. What precisely they heal, and the skill with which they do so is up to the individual.)

Community Style

As rare fae it is incredibly hard for Daoine to conceive children, particularly with each other. Due to this most Daoine blooded currently present in the Realms are mixed fae, and those who are pure blooded rarely keep to insular communities, preferring to be focused on their Court as a whole, or whatever particular faction or project they have given their passion to. They often do not have large connected family groups, but are known for forming found families regularly.
