dragons
Dragons are counted among the children of the universe. They, among other races descend onto the Land during the great demonwar to save the mortal races from total destruction by demons.
Dragons are by far the most famous and most often observed spirits. This is clearly owed to their impressive physical forms and the pride with which they like to present themselves in their splendidness.

"A thing to look at they were that all would stop in their doings whenever they appeared over the forest edge. At least 20 foot tall and all different coloures they were from the green of grass freshly rained on to a firery red-and-black like sparks in the black nightsky to glittering silver as the moons reflection on clear water. Majestic they looked altough terriby frightening with the more than foot-long fangs,razor-sharp claws and spiky thornes along their spine and legs. Thick scales twice the size of the blacksmiths hand covered their bodies so that no weapon could bite the flesh beneath. And when the sun shone on them they radiated brilliant rays of light that we had to cover our eyes. The dragons by far stayed in closest contact with the mortal races but not only for the admiration but also to sincerely help. The greatest work they accomplished together with the dwarves. However, closer descriptions for this are found in the scripts of the second Order.
They shook the earth when they landed and with every step they took. But that was nothing compared to their roar. Total silence fell anytime one of the creatures would wrench open their giant jaws presenting us to two rows of jagged teeth made do rip flesh and grind bones. A short moment of apprehension would follow as the beasts drank in the air. Then the roar would start as a low rumble making your teeth clatter and your joints crack and finally rise up to a deafening sound shaking trees and hills and stones and bones all the way down to the marrow that you would just keep on shaking even after they stopped.
But they were not done then. When they were in a very good mood - and they usually seemed to be in a better mood the bigger the audience, which was always very big - they would breathe arcs of red-golden flame in the air that would send ripples of hot air down to us and set the children and quite some of the grown folk cheering at the top of their voices.
I guess they were right to do so for i do not wish to imagine what would happen if the dragons were not our alllies but our enemy."
