“Please, you have to listen to me,” Alicia pleaded. “If you don’t let go of this grudge, it might end up destroying you. Wandering ghosts with negative emotions will turn into evil spirits, and their only choice is to spend an eternity in Hell.”
Anna glared at Alicia, and her spectral hair stood up. A black pattern radiated upward from her neck towards the right side of her face.
“Revenge isn’t that easy,” interjected the Black Reaper, “especially when your target’s home is protected by a barrier, is it? He must have gotten someone to do this for him ever since you started appearing, am I right? That’s why you need someone to do it for you?”
Anna looked at the Reaper and nodded. Her hair still waving like a raging fire, and the black marks had completely covered her face.
The Black Reaper cut between the two women and faced the door of Anna’s boyfriend’s apartment. “We just need to kill this guy, right?”
Anna was taken aback by the Reaper’s question. Her hair returned to its normal state, and the black marks stopped spreading.
Alicia widened her eyes and retorted, “What?! You can’t just –”
Before she could finish, the Black Reaper slammed his right palm to the door. The barrier broke, and the door fell inward. Without hesitation, he stepped inside, on top of the door, and looked around.
“Who the f*** are you?” a voice shouted from inside.
The Black Reaper looked in the direction of the voice and found a tall, muscular man. “Hey, mister, would you happened to know a dark-haired woman with gray eyes, about this tall,” he brought his hand up to his chin, “in her mid-twenties, and wears a dark blue, sparkling dress?”
“Why are you asking?” the man replied.
“I take it you know her then. Then, you should know that she’s right here besides me, and she has requested that you die.”
