Lucía Fernández

Now, tell me, how would you like to die? With my hands through your heart, or my heels through your stomach?
— Lucía Fernández

Lucía Fernández is one of the main characters of █████████████████████ and the current Nosferatu, the descendent of Dracula who also inherits his blood and the leader of all vampires in the Western world.

Appearance

Lucía has auburn hair that reaches her mid-back and bangs that frame her face. Her hazel eyes are lighter than her father’s dark brown eyes, likely an influence from her mother’s green eyes. She often wears a black pantsuits with a white dress shirt, buttons opened down to her sternum, and steel-reinforced, high-heeled boots. In formal settings, she will wear a black tie with her suit or switch to a dark-colored (usually red or purple) dress. For battle, she will switch from pants to a skirt, allowing her greater range of motion with her legs as her fighting style revolves around kicking.

Lucía sports a choker with a silver cross, a memento of her mother, to see away the majority of her vampiric abilities after inheriting Dracula’s blood. In her unsealed state, Lucía has silver hair and red eyes with slitted pupils. Her vampiric fangs are also more pronounced, and her fingernails grow slightly into sharp claws.

Personality

Lucía is extremely prideful due to her status as the daughter of the most powerful clan of vampires in Western Europe—the Fernández—and being the Nosferatu. Her cold exterior does belies her care for her family and her servants/subordinates, which comes out when they are in life-threatening danger.

History

Lucía is the only child of Alfonso Fernández and Lucinda Castillo, the previous Nosferatu. The union of Lucinda, the Nosferatu, of the Castillo Family to a member of the Fernándes was opposed by members of Lucinda’s own family and the Montmorency Family, fearing the concentrating power in the already powerful Fernándes Family. Lucinda still proceeded with her wedding as she was the leader of all vampires. However their happy days did not last, when a three-way war broke out years later with the birth of Lucía. Lucinda sought to negotiate by not passing on her blood to the next generation; however, no family head agreed. Ultimately, Lucinda killed the head of all three families and went on a war path, killing anyone else opposing a peace treaty. At the end of the war, Lucinda declared her daughter, Lucía, the new Nosferatu and committed suicide to atone for what she felt was a sin, having slaughtered so many of their kind.

Powers & Abilities

Physical Abilities

Being a vampire, even in her sealed state, Lucía’s base physical abilities exceeds that of even the world’s strongest martial artist or soldier/warrior. When her powers are unsealed, Lucía gains a massive boost to her physical abilities due to the inherent enhancement provided by her demonic aura(妖気, Zh: yāogqì, Ja: yōki).

  • Superhuman strength: Lucía is able to stop a speeding truck with a single hand in her base form and lift it with ease. In her unsealed state, a single kick from her can form a crater a meter deep.
  • Superhuman speed: In her base form, Lucía’s movement only barely exceeds the realm of normal human perception. Against other yōkai, it is not that impressive. However, when unsealed, her speed can match even those of werewolves, who are known for tremendous speed, on a night of full moon.
  • Superhuman endurance/invulnerability: In her base form, Lucía is immune to human-level blunt attack; only attacks with bladed weapons or guns can injure her. In her released form, Lucía gains resistant to bladed weapons and guns as well, making her even harder (but not impossible) to injure.
  • Superhuman stamina: While never shown in the story, Lucía is able to fight continuously for three days in her unsealed state.
  • Enhanced senses and reflex: Being a vampire, Lucía has enhanced sensory perception (sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch). She’s able to sense the slightest vibration in the air, and combined with her speed, allows her to respond on incoming attacks from any direction.

Demonic Arts

As a vampire, Lucía is conditionally immortal, has immense regenerative powers, and can transform. Having inherited Dracula’s blood, she gains the ability of weather control and daywalker, and can expand her transformation repertoire.

  • Eternal youth and immortality: So long as she drinks blood, Lucía, like all vampires, can sustain her youthful form and maintain her immortality. The quality of the blood does impact how frequently she must drink. Blood of extraordinary quality (like that of the Black Reaper) has additional effect of boosting her other demonic abilities.
  • Regeneration: Lucía is able to passively heal most injuries (whether bruises, broken bone, or hematoma) within minutes. With intent and the power of Dracula’s blood, Lucía can reattach parts of her body or regenerate whole limbs.
  • Transformation: Like other vampires, Lucía is able to transform into a bat, and with the blood of Dracula, she is now also able to transform into other substances including mist.
  • Weather control: Lucía is able to control the weather to certain extent, such as making clouds or rain.
  • Daywalker: Arguably, the most powerful ability Lucía gained from becoming the Nosferatu is daywalking (immunity to sunlight). Unlike other vampires, Lucía does not get injured or disintegrate from sunlight.
