Executive Council of Mundus Magicus
The Executive Council of Mundus Magicus (also known as the Magic Council) is the governing body of the United Republic of Magic in the Mundus Magicus. The Council comprises of the Chairman/Chairwoman and 99 Council members (called Councilman or Councilwoman). The responsibilities of the Council are to propose, debate, and pass bills, as well as implement and review laws (holding both legislative and executive power).
Structure
The Executive Council comprises of 100 members making up the legaslative body. Of the 99 members excluding the members, some are selected to lead the different departments carrying out the executive power of the Council.

Department of the Interior
Office of Magical Law Enforcement (OMLE)
The OMLE is the investigative and law enforcement agency of the Magic Council within the borders of the United Republic of Magic. The leader of the OMLE is given the title of "Paladin" and is a symbol of strength and justice for the populace. The current Paladin is Fredrick Murphy. It is organized into 6 divisions:
- First Division: Responsible for apprehending criminals ranked A or higher
- The Twelve Signs
- The Arcanas
- Second Division: Responsible for apprehending criminals ranked B
- Third Division: Responsible for apprehending criminals ranked C
- Fourth Division: Responsible for apprehending criminals ranked D or lower
- Fifth Division: Responsible for escorting state VIPs, including foreign dignitaries
- Sixth Division: Responsible for running the national prison system
- Seventh Division: Responsible for guarding locations storing national treasures and secrets
Department of Foreign Affair
This Department is concerned managing relationshiops betwen the United Republic and other nation-states in the Magic World. It is currently headed by Councilman Lucciano.
Within this department is the Office of Magic Secrecy, which is responsible for keeping humans in the dark regarding magic and supernatural-related matters. In the past, it has been the practice that if a wizard or magical being killed a human, the Office will send out investigators to find a human scapegoat who is a criminal in hiding. The Crimson Lord exploited this practice and killed many humans at once over a large area to set the Office out of order and ruin the relationship between humans and wizards. He planned for the humans to incite a war against the wizards once they find out a wizard committed this crime and learn of the practice of the Office of Magic Secrecy. The humans would then be destroyed during the war, and wizard-kind will reign supreme. After the Red Rebellion, the Office’s practice was revolutionized. Instead of finding a human scapegoat, the Office will erase the criminal wizard’s magical power and send them to the human world for sentence. If they are ever paroled, they will return to Magus Mundus, where they will then face punishment from the Magic Council.
Department of Immigration & Emigration Services
This department is managing the entrances to and exits from the Magic World, also known as the Gates. Employees of the department have one of three responsibilites:
- Screen people entering and leaving through the Gates. They are authorized to arrest those who try to enter or leave illegally, including criminals. In the event that a criminal manages to slip through the Gate to the human world, the Enforcers are automatically notified.
- Help witches and wizards with paperwork for legal entry or exit
- Citizenship for new witches and wizards coming to the country or for those children of citizens born outside of the United Republic
The current head of this department is Councilman Varrick.
Department of Magical Education

Department of Wands
The department keeps a record of every legal wand purchase.
Department of Defense
Formerly called the Department of War, the change of leadership in the department led to a change of military strategy from conquest at all cost to impregnable defense.
Department of Finance
This department is responsible for managing the National Bank and maintaining the country's monetary policy during trade wars, financial collapses, and natural/supernatural disasters.
Department of Land, Infrastructure, and Transportation
Responsible for
- Overseeing construction and maintenance of roads and railways
- Overseeing the national's agriculture
Department of Culture
Responsible for maintaining historical sites and national artifacts
Department of Energy and Environment
Responsible for overseeing mining/harvesting natural resources within the country's border and maintaining the country's natural preserves
Department of Magical Science and Technology
Within this deparment is the Human Technology Integration Office, which is responsible for studying advancement in non-magical, human technology and researching methods for potential use in the Magic World. Most of the employees of this Office are magic engineers.
