Human

Humans are the predominant species present in this series (and the only species to appear in the first book). The humans of this universe, on average, are biologically identical to the human species (Homo sapiens) that inhabit our world. The big difference, though, is the capacity of some humans of this universe to have supernatural powers.

Spiritualists

Humans with strong souls possessing sufficient spiritual energy that they are able to sense (at the low end) and interact with (at the high end) spirits. Here, we will define spirit to encompass any being with a spiritual body and soul but does not reside within a living physical body. The soul is the core/essence of the spiritual being, and where the spiritual energy of a being comes from.

Exorcists

Exorcists are a subset of spiritualists with strong spiritual energy who specialize in helping ghosts (the spirits of the deceased) pass on and vanquish evil spirits (including corrupted ghosts or demons). Demons, in this context, refers to the inhabitants of Hell. These demons do not possess a physical body, so they can only be fought with exorcism techniques, originally developed by the Catholic Church.

Magicians

Magicians are humans who are capable of performing magic, fueled by magical energy. Magical energy is a special form of energy derived from a mixture of dense spiritual energy and physical energy.
