Kessilsat (KESS-ill-SAHT)
Kessilsat is a small village in northern Balaqalneyis on the eastern shore of the Laqalney River, specifically the inlet it has created near the Creqira border. It is named for the Kessil region in which it was founded. It is notable as the nearest settlement to one of the only -- and perhaps the more forgiving -- entrances to the Creqira.
Industry & Trade
Majority of its income from fishing -- for example the Kessil darter -- and the burgeoning dairy industry facilitated by the inlet and the nearby Kessil Forest.
Tourism
Though the Creqira is considered a holy site, traffic of those seeking entrance to the area is small, and guides are infamously cagey; the people of Kessilsat are strangely protective over the pass and the Creqira generally, even if they themselves do not view it as sacred.
