The MIRATH family is an old Rhuani line that has held lands outside Rhuvael for over two hundred years. Their ancestors have often availed themselves of the proximity of the throne to achieve positions within the court and city. Since the departure of the Queen, the family has remained largely to themselves on the outskirts of the city. The current head, Lord Aldirik Mirath, seems cut from similar quiet cloth.

History

In the aftermath of the Presumptuous Lords taking of Rhuvael, there was consensus among the Eorls that the families and lands near to Rhuvael and formerly in direct service of the Throne would pass their duties onto Rhuvael. It is not believed that the MIRATH raised a complaint towards the resumption and transfer of their obligations even though it had been nearly fifty years since they had been required to tithe over to a liege.
