Maemor
The MAEMOR are strong and loyal vassals and have been for over 120 years. LORD RANOL MAEMOR, the young firstborn, has inherited his family’s lands and he is planning to join on an ambitious mercantile activity to raise capital. His current levies and fees are insufficient for the task that may be set before them—will the LORD SWANS resume his attempt at domination or has he learned the clear answer set before him last time he fought—freedom isn’t free.
The current generation has three male heirs—LORD RANOL MAEMOR, SER RINEN MAEMOR and sworn to Maemor again. The last knight in the family has taken oaths with the SWORN KNIGHTS OF SWANS.
In the middle of the -80’s, a series of bitterly cold winters that arrived sooner and blew longer than normal devastated usual harvests and hunting/foraging in the north of RHONE. This led to the mountain clans pushing east and Highlanders pushing further south in search of resources. As the raids continued and grew even more savage due to the dwindling food supplies, a call was taken up for volunteers to patrol and harass the raiders all the way back to their hidey-holes. It was tough and bitterly cold work. Many men lost extremities to frostbite but the Rhonish muster was able to stymie major raids and even the minor raids losses were felt.
It was during these grueling skirmish patrols, that SER HERVION MAEMOR was able to capture the ‘Great Demon-Captain’ who all had seen lurking through the woods in a manner most inhuman. A closer inspected revealed that the Demon-Captain was just another mortal and the Game continued… But for his deeds, SER HERVION was granted new lands along the shores of SWANS.
