History
While the Brynagar name had long been respected amongst the tribes of the Sword Coast, it was not until they sought the aid of the Kingdom of Rhone against Cualar that they were recognized as nobility. After the campaign against Cualar Queen Arosaine invested the Brynagar line with stewardship of the area.
The Brynagar heraldry was chosen in the older days when visibility and recognition across a battlefield was the primary purpose of their emblems. It was intended to reflect the family's role as the bulwark against the north; the black border between Rhone and Aenar.
