Ser Alnaric Brynagar is the older 'uncle' of the Eorl of Swords. For the past five years, he has been serving on the Council of Rhuvael as Rovin's representative. Prior to the appointment, Ser Alnaric was involved in a number of different endeavors and often heard to be in many different places. Regardless, his infectious laugh and propensity for humor always made him a warm welcome in Swords.

Hailing from an offshoot branch of the Brynagar line, that of Lady Mareith Alnaric was her only child. His father passed away earlier, being twenty years senior to his wife, and Alnaric was raised more or less alongside the future Eorl Randuin . The two of them were extremely close and Ser Alnaric seems to have the same trust from Eorl Rovin as well.

It is well-known that Alnaric is enjoying himself in Rhuvael and, even though the city is a distraction, the Council work is something for which Alnaric has found himself a niche in mediation.
