Sapient Species

in The Continent

What is a Species?

Different species can not produce non-sterile offspring. So, there is a possibility, however unlikely, that an elf and a human can have a child, but that child can not have any children themselves. Recently, there have been many attempts to use Anima magic to rectify this.   Life is divided into different groups, with taxonomists being those who decide what groups each species belongs in.   All species have proper names. A proper name has three parts: the species, arena, and region. For example, humans belong to the Zem region, the Biamon arena, and their species name is Con.
