Dryads
The body of female Dryads is chemically similar to dirt, allowing for various plants to sprout from their body. An adult Dryad woman will have an entire garden growing from them.
From their chest upwards, the female Dryads look like an Ayond. Below the chest is the body and the four legs of a deer.
But what about the male Dryads? They are born as trees. Dryad trees look like ordinary trees, but with green skin in place of bark, and red spikes in place of leaves. Female Dryads will lay eggs and then bury them in the soil next to the trees. The eggs will be fertilised, and Dryads will hatch from them. While male Dryads begin their life as seedlings sprouting from the soil, female Dryads start their lives as small worm-like creatures who will emerge from the dirt and be picked up by their mothers, who will then carry them on their backs for about three weeks, the time it takes for them to grow their legs.
There are very few Dryad’s, and all of them live amid Ayonds. Whether or not there is any sort of division between the two groups is unknown.
Dryads are herbivores. They are also nomadic, always moving to find patches of food. They don’t need habitation, instead choosing to sleep wherever.
