Tarantellia: Bestiary February
February Bestiary by Prompts
Stripes - Borealis Cat
These friend-shaped Apex predators have the body of mountain cats with stripes reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis. Their paw prints leave behind traces of chemiluminescent oils that glow at night.
Shell - Shimmer Snail
Snails are gastropods. Some snails are poisonous gastropods. These snails are shiny poisonous gastropods. I wouldn't recommend letting them crawl on you.
Colorful - Animated Teapot
Created by a horrific death or a soul that's unwilling to move on, Animated Teapots are usually protectors of a one-room space. The exception: Mages who enchant teapots to mimic the mannerisms of Animated Teapots.
Mythical - Phoenix

Prey - Beholder Angler Fish
Beholder Angler Fish have many light stalks that shift in hue and intensity to help them escape aquatic predators.
Purr - Spider Sphynx Cat
These familiars are friend-shaped potatoes who love to cuddle. Their six eyes and cartilage spikes may be off-putting to some. But you won't find a more devoted familiar than a Spider Sphynx Cat.
Tamed - Fiend Goats
Bred for their milk, Fiend Goats produce a silk-like compound that's used in the fabric industry. Additionally, scientists in Asmain created Cat-Fiend Goats. These mutated creatures' milk produce chemiluminescent oils like the Borealis Cat used for making magic insulators.
Pack - Glow Dogs
Glow Dogs are another cuddley friend in this Bestiary. Their skills include digging and glowing, making them excellent familiars for mages, travelers, and grave diggers.
Bond - Bark Crawler
Despite being covered in fur, the motions of Bark Crawlers resemble spiders more than cats. They have six legs and two raptorial appendages used for slicing their prey. Their heads resemble that of maine coons. To the Avies, they really are the bestest kitties.
Food - Peach Bats
Peach bats have a short pink, yellow, or orange body with fuzzy wings. When sleeping towards the trunk of a peach tree, it's hard to determine which plump fuzzy orbs are fruit or bats.
Stalk - Creeping Shadow
The Creeping Shadow is a bipedal spirit that looms in the darkness of the Arachnae Wilderness. It often plays with its food and enjoys watching people slowly devolve into a panicked state before it begins its attacks.
