Coronation of the King of Anakrion
There have been seven Kings of Anakrion in the history of the Kingdom Of Anakrion, with the seventh currently in power. These kings were all coronated in some way, and while the first may not have been, due to founding the nation, a practice was developed before he abdicated the throne.
Process
The current procedure, and how the practice was done for King Rexilis' coronation, consists of the former King, if alive, which he was in the latest case, and the soon-to-be King, along with the The Advisory Council, and several important members of both the government and King's Guard. If the King is not alive, which is likely due to warlike nature of the nation, the chairman will preform the proceedings in place of the King. Here, the former King has been stripped of the symbols and equipment of office; the Armour of a Lord, Sword of a King, and Crown of the Sovereing. After a speech from each King, and vows from the new King, the three pieces of a King of Anakrion's panoply are given personally by the former King, and are equipped by the new one. Well, the Crown and Sword are, as the Armour is for synthetics, and thus requires more extensive refitting and replacing of the user's form-plating. From there, the new King takes on a new name, chosen beforehand, and is officially declared King of Anakrion by the former King, who relinquishes their name and returns to being called by the name they had before kingship.Evolution
Since the three symbols of office were discovered at different times, all after a century of the nation existing, they were not originally present in the ceremony. Originally, the new King would be given a large staff, the Founder's Honour, which was eventually replaced with the Sword of a King. It is still present, but not involved in the ceremony, and instead is held by the King in important events during times of peace. During wartime, he holds the Sword.
