Land animals

Panthea is home to many massive and powerful creatures, existing across a great variety of biome across the world. Despite Human hunting of every animal being common, and human populations increasing, animal numbers have not reduced much at all. There are several biomes in the The Midlands, the forest, the steppe, the jungle, arctic, mountains and desert, all of which have large animals living in them, and there is also the underworld which exists underneath all of the known world. Most of the land animals are either animals that exist in real life, extinct animals from the ice age, or creatures that I made up but are probably based off of ice age animals. Because of this my world is home to much more massive land animals than exist in reality. This last also only talks about animals in the Midlands, although some of these animals also exist in the Outlands, most animals in the outlands are exclusive to the outlands. Some animals in the outlands that don't exist in the midlands are Dinosaurs and pterosaurs, as well as all of the creatures from Tandonia. There have been around 75,000 vertebrate species found in the midlands alone (including species found in the northern half of the The Southern Continents and the underworld, There have been thousands of unique vertebrate species found in the outlands already over a period of only 86 years since it's discovery, and their are innumerable more species yet to be discovered in the outlands and the underworld.

Forest Animals

forest mammoths, aurochs, wolves, beavers, cave Wolves, woolly rhinos, sabertooths, boars, Atroxes, Dire bear, bison, northern runoth, bears, giant spiders, deer, moose, cervalces, hallon, silon, tigers, eagles, elk, snakes, megaloceros, moa, pithecus, ravens, northern leopards, cave lions, foxes, and all the small common forest animals you would expect. Forests are found in northern Merindia, Borea, Shigir, southern Arctus, northern elendrum, west Lenuria, the south tip of Cocar, the north tip of Drakka, and most of Amala.

Steppe Animals

grass mammoths, woolly rhinos, Steppe Rhinos, bison, latifrons, aurochs, reindeer, testudans, wolves, atroxes, Steppe Mammoth, cave wolves, sabertooths, bears, cheetahs, Dire bears, northern Runoth, plains lions, snakes, horses, buffalo, hallon, foxes, gyptodons, marmots, cervalces, saiga, and all of the common steppe/plains animals from real life. A massive continuous steppe is found throughout Mora, Borea and Elendrum. There is also a steppe in southern Merindia and in the south/center of Lenuria

Jungle Animals

Elephants, dyotherium, dire elephants , megalania, all species of giant snakes, tigers, lions, maneaters, rhinos, jaguars, panthers, southern Runoth, Shovel Tuskers, gorillas, chimpanzees, tapirs, giraffes, gigantopithecus, terasuchus, giant spiders, giant centipedes, testudans, crocodiles, hippos, bloodfangs, hallon, many tropical birds, sloths, Intelligent Spiders and warthogs. Jungles are found in Cocar, southern Mora, northern Amala, south Lenuria, southern Elendrum and all throughout Talam.

Arctic and Subarctic Animals

steppe mammoths, wolves, cave lions, arctopithecus, atroxes, muskox, cave wolves, polar bears, arctic rhinos, woolly rhinos, arctic mammoths, cervalces, Dire bears, arctic serpents, dragons, arctic bison, arctic mammoths, glacial bears, aurochs, sabertooths, northern runoth, reindeer, arctic horses, arctic foxes, walrus, seals, mammoth Seals, elephant seals, various seabirds, penguins, wolverines, and all common real life arctic/subarctic animals. The arctic and subarctic biome is found in Arctus, north Lenuria and all of the The Southern Continents, including all of Drakka.

Mountain Animals

Petrex, agriok, Dragons, Earth Serpents, bears, mountain goats, yaks, Dire bears, wolves, sabertooths, ibex, eagles, therion, deer, snakes, bighorn sheep, hallon, mountain leopards, cloud rhinos, cougars, and common small mountain animals. Mountains are found on every geographical region, but the largest mountain range is the Regian Mountains.

Desert Animals

camels, maneaters, lions, elephants, giant lizards, giant scorpions, snakes, foxes, giant spiders, crocodiles, cougars, lizards, coyotes, hyenas, eagles, owls, armadillos, southern runoth, rhinos, and common desert animals. Deserts are found only in northern Cocar and parts of Elendrum.

Underworld Animals

salanjur, giant bats, snakes, giants snakes, bats, cave birds, giant centipedes, many blind animals, fish, cave octopuses, giant spiders, salamanders and many species of bugs, some tiny and some massive. The underworld is found deep underground, and runs underneath all of the known world. The maximum depth of the underworld is still unknown.
There is also one animal which has no known ecosystem, the mysterious sun hallon.
