arctopithecus

Arctopithecus is a large species of ape native to the subarctic forests of northern Elendrum.

Description

Arctophithecus are very large apes, with an average height of 10 feet (3 meters). Arctopithecus have large bodies, long muscular arms which they use to climb trees and knuckle walk, and short bowed legs. Arctopithecus have brown/dark brown fur which covers their entire bodies. Arctophithecus have orangutan-like faces that prominently feature large fatty cheek flaps which are found on all arctopithecus's, but they are larger on the males. Arctopithecus's have large canine teeth, but despite this they are herbivorous, and are able to survive just by eating the pine needles and leaves on trees.
