Mammoth Seal

Mammoth seals are massive seals, being around 32 feet long. They can be found on beaches throughout the world, but are most common in colder waters. They have large hippopotamus like jaws and teeth which they use to fight for mates and to defend their territory, and bodies similar to walruses, and a large humped back. They are able to live in extremely cold environments because of their thick layer of blubber which shields them from the cold, and which also protects them against almost anything that might threaten them. Mammoth seals spend most of their time sitting on beaches, but when they return to the water they feed on marine plants such as kept or seagrass. Mammoth seals are huge, possess extremely tough skin and monstrously powerful jaws, but they are still preyed on by even more fearsome sea monsters such as megalodons, emperor whales, and kraken.

Relationship with Humans

Mammoth seals have always being a problem for coastal villages. They're massive, destructive, territorial, and very difficult to kill. Many coastal towns have been forced to build powerful stationary weapon systems to drive off the mammoth seals. Originally this took the form of ballistas, but later evolved into using cannons to drive off mammoth seals.
